We are dominating games but players can rarely do absolutely everything and so there's understandably a lack of cutting edge from what are very hard working players, plus other clubs work you out. Go back to pre-World Cup and see how many times Almiron plays one-two to get in behind with Bruno - now teams have worked it out and Almiron's goals have dried up, they always show him onto his right. Joelinton is hit and miss in front of goal, Longstaff is worse and Willock's inexperience lets him down a little. Then you've got Wilson mis-firing, even though he's been excellent for us, for the most part. So we end up dominating, working well as a team and so Howe will be really nervous about upsetting that by bringing in ASM or Isak.I can see why he'd just prefer to persevere because although the results say 3 x 0-0 in the past four matches, the reality is we could've beaten Arsenal 1-0, Palace 4-0 and Leeds 7-0, with better finishing. I don't even know you can solve it with a player purchase or two; maybe we bring a DM in and allow Bruno more freedom where Longstaff is? Maybe we just need someone more reliable than ASM/Almiron? But then do you lose out on the workrate? Tough call.
ASM has a high propensity to upset the team as he's such a maverick/loose cannon, and he doesn't seem to be able to do his runs anymore. But why would Isak upset it? Isak's looked great in his appearances so far, and has a good workrate, and contributes well.
I won't be surprised if it's Wilson for Isak but i fully expect ASM to start, he has to at some point.
