Good day this as Gerrard didn’t get the Polish job it went to a Portuguese pensioner Gerrard and Lampard, unemployable
Ok, Didn’t see it was posted before! but still: Get in: Frank Lampard: Everton manager sacked after defeat by West Ham https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63610629
5 teams below us and 4 have sacked their managers this season, so everyone on 17 points and below have new coaches. Teams on 18 points are so far all hanging in and not sacking their manager …. Yet. West Ham, Leeds and Leicester still in trouble, so buckle up folks and Forest are actually 3 points ahead of Leeds. Points count, not performances Remeber.
Over to me what jambo? I said I’d drop him in the post you quoted seriously, he has energy and quick feet, but he’s struggling with the physicality of the league. It’s easy to see what he’s supposed to do, mobile, carries the ball up the pitch, works hard off it. He’s struggling with the on the ball stuff at the moment. I’m wondering with Rutter’s apparent ball carrying ability being his strength… whether we may see him take aaronson’s role rather than the ‘striker’ people think we’ve signed. In short, potential upgrade on klich, but not an actual upgrade on him from what we’ve seen.
Evening all I think we have the making of a great squad, we just need a decent coach who can sort them out, Jesse isn't the man If Jesse was any good, he would have noticed within minutes Gnonto being tag teamed, he would have noticed Harrison drifting left too often when it should have been left to Gnonto and he would have made a tactical adjustment to sort it. He shouldn't have started with Aaronson and he should have a bench of players he can actually select from, not unfit players with no chance of starting I don't like Jesse or rate him though so my opinions are biased but I don't care
So in your opinion will Aaronson come good given time or have we wasted the £25M ? My view is he's just not good enough unfortunately. If he was lighweight when challenged but still producing the odd killer pass then that would be fine but so far he brings nothing to our attacking play. Hopefully I'm wrong and he's just taking time to settle and adjust.
genuinely don’t know fella…have splinters in my Arse on this one. passing was never his forte though even at Salzburg
Looking at this Lampard decision he was sacked for only getting 0.92 points per game. Moyes and Rodgers are actually doing worse with 0.9 points per game with Jesse Marsch doing best on 0.95 points per game. Our game in hand though is not an easy win/draw, so the winnable games of Forest, Everton and Southampton need winning
Guess we can always loan him to Fulham next season so not a problem really. Think you might be right about Rutter though and we'll probably see him in a variety of attacking positions. Which means the conundrum for Jesse is how does he get 4 attack minded players in the starting eleven without leaving us exposed at the back. Harrison yesterday had the left side defence duties with Gnonto given much more licence to stay upfield. Right side that was Aaronson's role, so whoever comes in for him will need tactical discipline.
Expect to see an improvement from Everton whoever comes in as their squad isn't as bad as the pundits etc keep making out. Last summer they signed; Coady Tarkowski McNeil Maupey with Richarlison and Rondon moving on.
So what you’re actually saying is Everton sacked a manager with all but a risla paper between his record and our head coach.
So far the main name I’ve seen mentioned as his replacement is Sean Dyche ffs. Is that the best anyone can come up with. His style of football was ridiculed here and elsewhere two years ago. Now he’s a saviour
Great, we’ve bought another player so we can play him out of position, maybe he’s quick enough to play left back
Bielsa is the front runner according to talkSPORT, though I wouldn’t think he was the type of coach to takeover mid season? Also can’t see those lazy prima donnas at Everton putting in the effort MB demands of his players.
