Mike, I agree that Jewell has inherited a rotton ship and needs time but his failure to change the team when its obvious changes are needed is very frustrating, especially when we have players like Carson and Martin out of the side when they could be making the difference in the first XI. And Jewell brought in Andrews, Bullard and Bowyer when we already had two central midfielders. We ended up with 5 central midfielders who don't compliment each other very well and none of them want to play the holding role which has become essential in modern football. I would say that's a perfect example of putting players before team needs.
Really good post completely agree with everything you've said!! And Spanish I love how you just never get annoyed about people saying stuff about you, like you said, its water off a ducks back!!
I do agree with you about this. It is a slight concern but then I find it hard to critisize Jewell so far about his transfer policy, I can understand more the frustrations with some of the tactics. But I feel he did not think he would be able to get in Bullard, therefore got Bowyer and Andrews both whom have quality and then the opportunity to sign Bullard came up and I think it was too good to turn down.
