So long as he gets into the Premiership quickly (and stays there), I do think Lallana could have a better international career than Walcott and Chamberlain. The latter two are up against so many other wingers and strikers, many of whom also rely on their pace. But there aren't too many English playmakers out there who can play in and around the strikers, not since Joe Cole started to lose it a few years back. Most of them in the Premiership are foreign, the best example being David Silva (someone who sadly Lallana will almost certainly never be as good as, I should add). So there is a gap in the market, if you like, for Lallana to exploit at interntational level. At a push, you could maybe put Adam Johnson in that category, because like players like Lallana, he plays on the wing without really being a winger. But I'd say he lacks of skills to be called a proper playmaker. Of course it does rely on the England manager(s) down the line to play a system which accomodates a playmaker, and there are no guarentees of that.
At the minute David Silva is the best player in the world better then Messi in my opinion We played Man City in the FA Cup last season and some of his passes was unbelievable, he never gives the ball away at all. This season he has added goals to his game
I agree, David Silva is a class act, probably the best in the Premier League at the moment. It's unbelievable he is constantly overlooked by Spanish national team. That only goes to show that Xavi, Iniesta, Pedro, David Villa are all better than him... Therefore, is he better than Messi? I don't think so. He's not better than Cristiano Ronaldo either.
