Proud is filling this board with ****, but all of you that keep responding are not helping, it's no good arguing with him and then running to me with complaints that he's still posting.

    Just ignore him.

not sure how true this is - but i was told when Chester signed that Man Utd have first call on James Chester if or when City choose to cash in on him. So the worries on losing him may be ill - founded. Like everything else time will tell.

Would be good news if so. I wouldn't begrudge the lad moving back to somewhere like United, or a top half Prem club which is where he probably will be in a few years. It'd be a wrench to see him leave for another club of similar standing to ourselves though. I'd have given him the armband over Hobbs as a bit of an incentive.

Although, he's of a similar age to me, and clearly moving City is a difficult thing to do. This was doubtless made easier for him by living here with his mates. Unless anyone in our league can afford to sign him, Dudgeon, Stewart and Evans (which would push even Leicester I'd guess) he might be a little reluctant to go.

Wouldn't make a difference if Leicester come sniffing and he wants to go. That just means Man Utd get first chance when we choose to sell, it doesn't mean they can dictate when we can or can't sell him. I like to think with our group of United reserve mercenaries, that Chester would like to stay. Either way, it won't be long before he leaves here anyway, if he keeps improving how he has been I'd wager a guess at him playing in the premiership next season, with or without us. Moving to Leicester could also put a halt on that, as with their money they are not in a position where money would sway them, and if his form gets him a move to the premiership, Leicesters asking price could prove to be a stumbling block.

the key to keeping everyone here (Waggy apart) is squad unity. this whole sorry chapter may well unify the squad even more so. the roles of people like Barmby - Dawson - Rosie could prove to be central to keep them all. Lets face it Hull City have a squad that can deliver this season with one or two Jan additions. Time to close ranks.

Yeah, I've just been on Twitter looking for the latest news and I saw that. Turns out it was a rumour from a few days back and I thought it was from today. Apologies!

where have you heard this then ? if true, it just makes the whole situation even more messy and himself stupid after all he has said the past few days. if lee clark does go to Leicester where does that leave Nigel P. then ?

    unbeleavable if true.

Bigger name does not mean better player. You have absolutely no idea what James Chester, Liam Rosenior and Joe Dudgeon play like because you've probably never heard of them until very recently.

James Chester is ****ing unreal. His tackling is the best I've seen live in any player, including when we were in the PL playing the top sides. When we play you and you see Nugent and your boys trying to get past him and him just slamming the door in their face time and time again, you'll know what I mean.

You need to start checking these things before you post mate. Liverpool played literally their best fit XI.

I think that Proud Fox lad/lass suffers a bit from "Keyboard Diarrhoea", it's mainly contacted in the midlands.
"Cacoethes Scribendi" is the medical term; it can be terminal.

I'm well aware of Rosenior, but only fleetingly acquainted with Chester and Dudgeon. I know you're very solid in defence though. I'm sure they're great. I'm still very happy with Mills and Bamba.
