How is introducing a charge to try and stop the stupid British people from wasting their own public services privatisation? When New Labour were in power, they brought in the private sector to provide 7 per cent of NHS services. It was also New Labour that saddled the NHS with billions of pounds of PFI debt from badly negotiated contracts. Since 2010, the Tories have privatised no more of the NHS – overall, 7 per cent of NHS services are still private sector. What the Tories have done is use the private sector to fill in the short fall in NHS services because the NHS is inefficient, unproductive and a bottomless pit for money. Funding has risen by 12 per cent since 2019 in real terms but patients treated has fallen by 5 per cent. Perhaps those that cannot understand why charging for GP appointments might be good should consider this: Patient 1: Feels unwell on Saturday morning so books an appointment with their GP for Monday. Patient 1: Feels better on Sunday, so no need to bother going to the GP tomorrow and no penalty. Patient 2: Feels unwell on Monday morning but cannot get an appointment to see their GP so goes to A&E. GP: No patient shows up for the 10am appointment on Monday, so they have half an hour free time when they could have seen Patient 2.

Why is useless loser Sir Keir Starmer getting a free ride from the media about his joke visit to the WEF at Davos? He complained that Rishi Sunak never even went but I am sure that Sunak had better things to do, like look down the back of the Downing Street sofa for money to pay his seatbelt ticket! Starmer want to create some sort of OPEC-like green energy coalition but it is difficult to see just who would be mad enough to join it. Starmer and his dozy Shadow Chancellor have some crackpot plan to spend billions on more environmentally destructive greenwash that will produce very few sustainable jobs at great expense, with no impact on “growth”. I presume that they will be spending the £3bn from taxing non-doms on this as well as four or five other things that they are spending it on – if the non-doms do not just clear off somewhere else, taking the £8bn of taxes they already pay with them.

You should be charged for ‘no show’ appointments . My dentist charges 25 GBP (per 15 minutes of appointment length ) if you fail to cancel within 24 hours . My local GP surgery only offers appointments on the day now . Almost impossible to get an appointment- face to face or a telephone appointment.
