What's your gut feeling now? I said first thing this morning (see twitter) that I thought he'd go. I thought his lack of a denial, the betting patterns and the confirmation of an approach all added up to him going.

So does anyone genuinely think he'll stay? No Leicester fans or wind-up merchants. This is our board, piss off.

Hard one to call, I think everything points to him being off, although I'm sure if it was as certain as it seems there would be more updates or the switch been made already. Just got a gut feeling that he's going to end up staying.

Also hope we reject the seconds approach from Leicester.

    I think he's gone.

And don't worry, any Leicester comments will be deleted from this thread.

He'll go. The sooner the better now I think, let's move on and get something sorted by the weekend. I know there's no game, but a week prep before Derby with a new set-up would be useful.

If he's requested to go, it's a case of negotiating the best deal for City. We can't keep him here if he doesn't want to stay. If he wanted to stay I would have expected to hear more from the club today.

    Sadly I think he's going.

If he has asked for permission to speak to Leicester, as suggested, then he will be going.

Agree completely - the last thing we want is for this to become some drawn out saga. If he's going (which it looks like he is) then the sooner the better so we can work on bringing in a replacement

Got to go - even if he rejects Leicesters advances he's burnt his bridges now as PT did when he asked to be allowed to be interviewed by Charlton - the relationship between AP and PT then became 'skinny' (to quote PT) after he failed to get the job.

Can't imagine AP hasn't reminded NP of this.

PS Its amazing he (appears) to know about the financial package being offered by LFC when he keeps banging on about having not heard from the Club and that he has a job to do with us and that any advance would have to be made to the Club first FFS.

If AP and the Allams are worth their salt they will have been fishing to see if Pearson was swayable long before this. I would hope they they have targets in mind.

I think the same, will depend now if AP and the Allams maybe offer him an improved contract and funds to buy in January. NP must have some thoughts that going back is a gamble, these owner want instant success and if it doesn't come, then he could be on his way. NP may also get a reputation of never actually finishing a job and getting a team into the EPL, many try like Billy Davis with Forest, but cannot get them over the line.

I'm honestly not sure. People talk about his links with Leicester and still loving the club but maybe that's why he's being sketchy. It might be overly optimistic but with him saying that he doesn't want to talk about it and why should he discuss it etc, he might just not want to say "I don't want to go back there" because he has an affinity with their fans. Who knows what's going to happen here in a few years? He might be out of a job and Leicester might need a new gaffer and he won't do himself any favours long term by burning any bridges now.

I think he's an honourable and honest guy and I think he'll stay.

Anyone read the Rosenior article on HDM? Hits the nail on the head for me.

He's gone. LCFC fans believe it's a done deal and he's expected to be announced in the next 36 hours. Gutted if this is true!

PS As for a replacement the more I think about the more I am leaning to Joycey returning with say NB as his number two.

Maintains stabilty - he knows the Man U kids and he gets opportunity to carry on unfinished business that Joycey has always referred to since he left.

I would like to hear from Adam Pearson on this matter and there is a Premier Club Meeting @ the KC for tuesday night at 6.30pm so it will be interesting to see if that is cancelled or not. If it is then Nigel has gone.

The fact that he has asked to speak to Leicester can be taken in many ways and most are looking at the obvious one. I dont think City will allow any poaching of our players in Jan. Other than that its a waiting game.

I think he,s gone now. If he,s met them, then its over either way (Peter Taylor). Our board made the right noises denying LC acces to Pearson and if he wants to leave it would be foolish of us to string it out trying to keep him here when that time should be focused on a new manager to pick up the reins.I,ll be dissapointed on two fronts if he does leave, firstly I seriously think he would have done ok for us and hiself, his brand of football in the last 3-4 months has vastley improved and he,s done well to get "his" young squad to gel and play. Secondly, I had him pegged as the "old school" type of bloke, honourable, and having princibles a rare breed these days. If your going Nigel, cut the rope now and let us get on with it.

If the rumours are true, he's being offered enough money to secure him and his family for life. He'd be bonkers not to take it.

He joined us at a rocky time and with little fuss steered us through and has made us a solid unit playing some lovely football.

I'd love him to stay, but he can walk away with his head held high as far as I can see.
