As has been mentioned before, Pearson couldn't work with anyone at Hull with an ego. They've literally all gone. The only players that remain from previous managers are Garcia, Dawson, Barmby, Cairney (who is a bit of an ego but is young and harmless enough) and McShane. Pearson got shut of ***an, Bullard, Ashbee, Zayatte, Marney (Grade A prat off the pitch for those who didn't meet him) etc. The Leicester team is absolutely full of egos, that's what Sven loves. If you want a manager to come in and completely reshape your squad, i.e. we did upon Prem relegation, Leicester probably did when they got relegated from the CC, then Pearson's your man. He doesn't strike me as a "finishing touches" type of guy, and he's definitely not a yes man. Just don't think he's a very good fit for Leicester.
I think the only players Nigel will clash with will be Bamba and Beckford Beckford as he is a little lazy and Bamba is too flamboyant sometimes. He likes to dribble the ball out the area skinning the strikers along the way Nigel will never have put up with Yakubu last season but he will love Nugent
I haven't watched massive amounts of Mills or Bamba (as you'd probably expect). What I've seen of Mills, he seems quite an aggressive, dirty player. He certainly didn't strike me as a composed, pacey, ball playing centre back like Chester. Chester is also 5 or 6 years younger than Mills. It's bad enough if Pearson goes, but it'd be absolutely terrible for us if Chester went with him. He's the best player we've had in donkey's years and in 5 or 6 years, if he progresses as he has done over the last 9 months, United will rue the day they sold him, unless they buy him back.
It's hard to compare them really. Bamba is a big donkey of a centre half. Matt Mills is a unit. James Chester is a terrific reader o the game and a great ball player. Mills and Chester would be one hell of a partnership.
3 actually and one is a Loan. Hardly full is it and thank you for them by the way. Hobbs over Mills anyday.
Bamba has had so many players in his back pocket this season. Kaka, Ronaldo, Benzema, Mackail-Smith, McCormack, Lambert, Emnes. There is so many The only player to gave him a little trouble was John Carew but Bamba sorted him in the end
Caldwell? As in those Scottish brothers who are bloody appalling? Can't agree with that one. James Tompkins is very classy. Don't think either of Saints defenders are owt special individually. Which Davies are you thinking of? Tompkins is. Bamba has never played at the level Faye has been for the past couple of years. Like a poor man's version.
Does anyone really care who plays centre back for Leicester, as long as it's not Chester? I'm not sure why we're having any sort of debate about the quality of Leicester's players, particularly today, who gives a ****?
If we're gonna count pre-season friendlies, we beat Liverpool 3-0. Doesn't count for much now though. John Carew got subbed off at half time against Chester/Hobbs. Chester hasn't been troubled by a single player since he's signed. I don't want to get into a "our player's better than your player" playground debate but Chester is the best centre half in the division. On a serious note, do your Thai owners only want big name, big money signings (Matt Mills was £5.5m!!!)? Hardly Pearson's forte is it?
Nobody cares at all how many good individuals Leicester have, they're a **** team. Internazionale have quality individuals, but that doesn't change the fact they're 17th in Serie A and playing like the Pirates of Plymouth Argyle.
No, but Proud Fox is all over here like a rash, it's pretty tricky to comment on anything he hasn't turned into a discussion of Leicester.
Yes but Liverpool had the reserves out and Real Madrid who are better then Liverpool brought they full side Mills was only 4M
what drugs are you taking ? if you think that then your more deluded than the Thai owners who expect promotion this season.
