Rosenior is one of the most tactically astute managers we've had. Your interpretation of tactics seems to be play all the attacking players (regardless of fitness) and we'll magically get 3 points.
Tufan is amongst the most exciting players I’ve seen at City in nearly 50 years. It’s a pleasure to see someone as gifted with the ball. It’s also great to see him trying to get himself fit and clearly buying into our ethos. I’ve seen him chase back for lost causes. Some on here though have also noticed he also has a knack of just losing concentration and forgetting to close down a player or back track. The game has changed. Best XI does not exist anymore. Tufan atm is suited to coming on for the second half/ 60 mins.
It isn’t, I just think it’s a bit of a myth, I personally think he goes before he gets us up and would be willing to take cash bets on it. Can’t adjust aside from making us sturdy. Soon as we need to create the blokes lost.
I completely agree and I said as such as few games ago. We've got 18 championship games to test and try things ahead of next season. It's why I didn't really understand the Malcolm signing, by the time we have him our playoff chances have gone and we'll only be able to keep him next year if he's ****
That is exactly what Slater did today though and cost us a draw. That's meant to be his game too and what he's in the team for. The 50/50 he lost today in the lead-up to their goal is inexcusable.
The first twenty minutes when we were under the cosh and Seri was struggling to give the defence some support, Doc was battling away, I’m not sure Seri would want Tufan alongside him.
The biggest part of that goal was Jones getting involved in marking their left winger while Coyle had him well marked, thus leaving Macca absolutely exposed.
It was Slater losing a 50/50 and then neither him or Doch tracked that man who was free. I expect the ball winner in the side to properly compete in a 50/50, and if that was a Sheff Utd player, the likes of Norwood would have crunched into the tackle and broken the game up.
rosenior is a brilliant manager and personally i'm glad he's here he's still learning, with inexperience comes more mistakes but in rosie we trust
We return to the old needing an ‘Ashbee’ alongside Seri. We haven’t got one. Who have we got then? When we’re under the cosh away from home? We have tried several different options, but no resolution yet. Woods did ok, but too similar to Seri, Doc can’t keep the ball, Slater too maybe. Tufan doesn’t have the discipline. I am surprised we don’t seem to be going for someone in this position.
Simons is that type I guess but won't be fully there for a couple of years. Needs to be addressed in summer, if not this next fortnight.
But it seems Ros doesn’t see this particularly as an issue and is absolutely fine with Doc, Slater, Woods.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see him go out on loan again next season, players his age need to be playing games. A good 6 months with us will probably put us front of the queue. Zaha leaving does complicate things, but I imagine they’ll spend.
i genuinely see it as a trope, alongside the other 3 he’s probs second in terms of winning and chasing (doc first) but has far greater on the ball quality. He’s a physical presence who chases and puts himself around. Was after it often today for me.
