Yeh but Rutter won't get match fit without game time.

We'll definitely need fresh legs at some point and so it will probably come down to who looks sharpest in training.

I'd expect all 3 to start Sunday, with Ayling at RB.

I thought the whole idea of extra attackers
On the books was tied into the idea of the five subs. Football has evolved to the point where not many will play more than an hour. Therefore it’s not an either or when selecting a team surely

I genuinely think the Championship is the best league to watch. Anybody can beat anybody on any given day. Incredibly difficult division to get promoted from.

Occasionally though you get a team which is superior to the rest which spoils it a little. Burnley probably are that type of team and if they win tonight they'll virtually be unstoppable.

That's why I'd like West Brom to turn them over.

I'm gonna call you out on this mate.

You don't think Jesse will make the right calls in attack?

He's moved Rodrigo to 9 and he now looks one of the leagues best strikers. Correct decision.

He dropped Harrison after he lost all form which proved the correct decision.

He let James go on loan which ultimately paved the way for Summerville to come in and shine. This is Summerville who hasn't been professional enough in the past but Jesse has grounded him so far and turned him in to a match winner. Correct decision.

He said Gnonto was one for the future but realised after seeing him in training that he was the player he is and played him. Even Zurich didn't start him that often. He was used as a striker off the bench. Marsch has used him as a left winger starting.

I'd say Marsch has got most things right up top. If you'd have said that you didn't have confidence in his defensive coaching then the evidence is at least there to back you up.

Agree with emu in principle but not this year. Burnley play some great stuff, they bought a keeper from Man City for his 5 aside skills… so they ping the ball about building from the back. Kompany’s done a great job.

The blunts are combative and well organised, the only other 2 decent teams Are West Brom and boro. Both of whom have been dominating games all season but just couldn’t score and kept conceding soft goals.

That’s your top 4. Everyone else is sh*t.

I hope people don’t put too much expectation on Rutter. We need to forget about the fee and see him as an exciting prospect. Because that’s all he is.

We have a lot of attacking talent and enough of it is fit, we can ease luis back in, and use georgi if and when he’s ready.

The way Willy and rod are playing, They’re shoe-ins at the moment. Paddy on the bench.

As Eire says it’s a squad game now with 5 subs allowed. Our game is energy sapping… guys can now run themselves ragged and be replaced by someone of more or less comparable quality. Nice position to be in… and not replicated at the back sadly <laugh>

Was saying something similar to Jammy Jnr...that if Rutter looks as good as Gnonto that's the best we can hope for.

Price tags are somewhat irrelevant as you have to pay what it takes sometimes and not exactly what someone is worth.

If Rutter doesn't score in his first game the fans will start moaning about how much he cost.

He's gonna need time to settle. Not everyone is a Gnonto but that's what the fans will expect.

Correct. As far as I’m concerned though emu, he only needs to score once :emoticon-0105-wink:

If the Yanks keep taking over PL clubs, we might end up having a defensive team & an offensive team, just like their odd idea of football, complete with timeouts too, no doubt.

Is that why we're keeping Greenwood...just in case we can have a special tactics team ?

We never got to see what James could do on the left he was played as a striker. Harrison has been terrible out on the right, Rodrigo fortunate to play as the main forward due to Bamfords injury or great call by Jesse?

Jesse himself has admitted Summerville got a chance due to Sinisterra getting injured, in turn Summervilles injury meant Gnonto getting a go

You believe Jesse seeing Gnonto in training was the reason for him starting yet Jesse admitted the above after Cardiffs game.

I might not give Jesse enough credit but you definitely give him too much mate

No I don't. I give him credit for the stuff he gets right unlike alot of the fan base it seems.

Orta was the scape goat for a couple of years but that seems to have gone quiet. Radz was also questioned and told to leave but that's gone quiet. It's Jesse's turn to be at fault for everything.

To be fair I'm supporting Jesse by blaming Firpo for everything. <laugh>

Suppose we all have our targets.
