I live in town and have done for over 10 years. From my informed position I certainly don't recognise some of the garbage on here. Granted, I don't spend a lot of time in the new town end other than walking through it. That's where you will encounter the odd skag head and scroat. But they speak with a local accent and the place is hardly overrun with them. Most I see from 'foreign parts' are out delivering our takeaways in all weather. Earning a living doing things the feckless locals will consider below them.
I don't believe you . There are no White faces . I was in town today and I was the only person speaking English .
Two bids by Hull for Levelling Up funding from the government have been unsuccessful. The city council had hoped to secure backing for a proposed £23.5m facelift of Hull City Hall and a £30m scheme to build a new park and ride facility in Kingswood together with a series of upgrades to roads and junctions between the Dunswell roundabout on the A1079 and Sutton village. Both bids were submitted last summer. However, neither feature in today's list of successful bids announced by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities. Instead, the nearest successful bids have been confirmed in Barton where £19.7m will support a town centre regeneration scheme while £18.3m is going to Cleethorpes for a seafront facelift project.
HDM also reporting the lagoon project is a non-starter, not that it was ever going to start. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Having read Steverico's original reply I saw no politics involved, hey ho, moderators decision is final.
It is disgraceful. The end of civilisation as we know it, the thin edge of the wedge…I don’t live in Hull but if I did I would boycott the place.
