I can hear pep making excuses about the state of the pitch already. city should be made play at their purpose built 7k u21 stadium in the complex as they might actually fill that and just give their noisy neighbours the big stadium for 2 years.
City's depth doesn't seem as deep this season. Just looking at their team sheets this season, seems they're doing less rotation and having more youngsters on the bench. Haaland's wages perhaps?
So the EFL head of security says reports of overcrowding at the Sheff W v Newcastle game are premature and authorities have 'full confidence' that safety measures were met. I did a bit of investigating and found fan accounts and images exactly the same as 1989 with fans squeezed in the central section while the left and right were near empty. Stewards directing fans the wrong way etc. It's unbelievable that Sheff W appear to have made no progress in how they handle these games with big away support. Maybe unfair of me but I hope they never get promoted to the PL with the attitude they appear to have that everything's being done properly when it clearly isn't.
There's a fck off big plot right next to the stadium. They could rebuild with minimal impact on the current stadium. And it solves the problem of the railway line.
You could but im not sure it fully solves that? The spurs model of turning pitch and build say 3/4 of it is OK but isn't at least some of that needed for fan access and all that, I presume you mean the massive car parking etc The rail line is still there to be considered but I don't know if footprint allows an entire spanking new stadium build without a partial knocking of at least one end of old trafford? Is there concepts out there or just pie in sky fan fiction?
Everton: when does someone get hurt. As the old saying goes; what did you do for me lately? The board were advised to stay away due to a very real threat (whatever that means) at the last game. Fans have contronted Mina and gordon at various times around the southampton loss increased security for players and staff have now further enraged everton fans who are now saying they are being painted as villians. Moshiri says he's ponied up for the club loads and the lasts number for his docklands ego trip is £760m The closer this gets to deadline day without any movement in I think the risk of a serious incident grows. sadly thats where it looks to be at.
Was it only a few years ago when they were spaffing half a billion pounds of Usmanov's money on various lemons and donkeys that they were crowing about being known as The Mersey Billionaires, after the 60s Mersey Millionaires? By 'eck, it was **** that People's Club **** then, wasn't it?
The Everton fans are sleepy and cranky from not getting any sleep. They stay up all night setting fireworks off outside the visiting teams hotels.
So, Arsenal sign Trossard for £21m plus add-ons. He's a pretty good player, so does £21m seem ludicrously cheap to anyone else?
