Good Morning. It's Wednesday 18th January, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road.

Leeds are still in the race for Moroccan ace

Leeds are still in the race to sign Moroccan ace Azzedine Ounahi, according to Fabrizio Romano The transfer guru revealed that Victor Orta is holding talks with his agent, which if true pours cold water over previous claims that Elland Road bosses were putting transfer negotiations on hold until Jesse Marsch's tenure becomes clearer.

“Leeds are still in the race. They have made a proposal. They are discussing with Angers and with the agent of the player to try to make this deal."

“They don’t want to spend crazy money because they already spent really important money on Georginio Rutter from Hoffenheim. They want to be careful with their spending in January. But they want Ounahi, discussion are going.”

Bookies slash odds as Marsch's head on the chopping block

With talk of his impending demise gathering pace, Oddschecker have revealed that leading bookies have slashed odds of Jesse Marsch becoming the next top flight Managerial casualty from 18/1 to 4/1. Only two points separate Leeds from the foot of the table, and multiple sources claim the American is on borrowed time.

If you think Marsch is in trouble, then spare a thought for David Moyes' and fat Frank Lampard. The two face off at the weekend at the London Stadium. If ever there were a fixture dubbed “El Sackico', it's this one.

    Morning all

Not sure what’s gone wrong for Moyes, I don’t follow West Ham or watch their games enough to pass judgement on why they’re struggling.

Lampard is just an out of his depth coach living on the reputation of what he achieved at Chelsea, he’s just plain useless so the longer he stays in his job the better

Sadly I don’t believe Jesse is on the verge of getting the sack

    Morning all :emoticon-0148-yes:

Daily Mail started the ball rolling by speculating that the Moroccan deal had stalled and it was because the Leeds board were unsure if Marsch would be sacked. From that there was more clickbait stuff and today it’s everywhere. If Leeds were chasing a player it’s because they see the player as part of the future project, not a whim of the manager.

Moyes did a surprising good job as an interim manager a while back, so got offered the job when it became available again. After a rocky start he did the business and stabilised the club and then led them into Europe and all done on a budget. The problem he seems to have now is that he’s been given a shed load of cash and bout a lot of top players. There seems to be issues in the dressing room and Perkins was just one issue but Declan Rice wants out and some big time Charlie’s are not helping the cause. Moyes results this season are as bad as ours and the Hammers fans have lost patience and some of the signings not bedded in yet.

Brenden Rodgers and Lampard or Moyes are more likely to be sacked before Marsch as I believe Marsch has two or three games to see if we improve with his new signings and the likes of Bamford and Sinisterra coming back. He said yesterday he now feels he has an armoury of forward talent to throw at the opposition

    Morning

I'm not going to comment on Marsch's possible sacking as it's looking more and more likely after what came out yesterday. However, I will comment on other teams. Rodgers and Moyes should be doing better. They've both got very good behind them. I'm surprised that both clubs are doing so badly. If Moyes gets the sack I don't think he'll get a Premier League team in the near future. You can see that despite being a good manager with Everton being a great example of that he's not fantastic, he'll be relegated to the likes of Mark Hughes and Big Sam. I think Rodgers could very well do with a stint in Belgium or France then come back or even going into International Football seems to be working wonders for Martinez.

Fat Frank is another English man who quickly raised up the ranks too quickly. We saw it with Ince 10 or 12 years ago when he got the Blackburn job and fell flat on his arse. Frank needed time to mellow in the lower leagues and then take a team like Brentford and then cut his teeth there.

Think I can see where the player unrest story has come from. This is a US football convention and Marsch was asked to present via Skype type thingy. The writer is a footy journalist and blogger from Philadelphia and knows Marsch, but she has a few choice views of him. She mentions that our players went rouge after the Brentford game in September…..

Good Morning from a chilly cold Bardsey
I watched tge Wolves game last night and I thought Cunha was useless at bestI would want much more than that for 35m Gakpo was not up to much either after hiw world cup exploitsone wonders if he his not content to rest on his laurels
I was also disappointed with Salah he looked a shadow of his former self the only bright light was Eliloit Ward
Now for Marsche I believe he is not on borrowed time they have spent to much on his chioces to dismiss him before the injured get back The Moraccan says he doesnt wnat to go to Leeds SO WHY PURSUE HIM.?STILL THINKwe NEED A LEFT BACK

The Cunha price was too high. I don't get what Wolves were thinking of paying that price for somebody who barely played for Atletico this season. There's something fundamentally wrong at Liverpool this season. I'm surprised that with a squad that is meant to this good they're 9th place behind Fulham, Brentford and Brighton. I've been sat here for weeks waiting for Klopp to get sacked especially as Rodgers had a weaker side and got sacked when they were in 7th place. Yes I get that Klopp has won them the Prem and The Champs League but for a team of Liverpool's recent stature then I'm surprised their board has got itchy fingers and started to look for somebody else. Liverpool's squad is too old and they need to get in a new manager and start a rebuild project

Ounahi should not be signed based on the WC ... he isn't exactly ripping up Ligue1 at Angers, and his club performances have been average throughout his career ... Morroco were a very motivated unit and they played as a collective with nothing to lose ... even the awful Romain Sais (let go by Wolves) looked like a top class player ... there are many better options out there, not worth signing Ounahi

Marsch will be replacing Fragile at Everton soon

    Morning all.

Marsche is going nowhere, so any bollocks written anywhere is just a distraction we can do without.

Let's not turn onto a fanbase that can't handle losing matches and feels they have to protest at the pospect of relegation. Whilst obviously undesirable at the end of the day football is just a sport and inevitably the 3 worst teams go down each season and that's what makes it interesting, at least it's part of it anyway.

Support the team, support the club and support Jesse.

Radz wants him. I don't think he's on the Orta/Marsch list. From what I understand there are 2 other players in the mix. One of them is in Italy and the other in France. Sorry I can't remember the names.

As Radrizzani himself admitted he knows nothing about football why is he identifying players he’d like to bring in?

Not his job so he needs to butt out.

the players went rouge?… bet their red-faced about it now

Bad jokes asides, interesting article… I don’t think the reporter was unfair on him to be honest. … and could well be the source of the rumours. Seems the counter claims of unity in the squad are coming out now!

Our self proclaimed best fans in the world should read his comments on harnessing the mob mentality and get behind the team as we know they can.

they do say the air is not as blue in the west and this improves the flavour of the premium beers he partakes of.
