I really liked the look of Jackson when we were linked in the Summer for exactly the reasons WKS said. Looks like he could scare defences if he runs at them - and we don't have many like that
Yes it certainly seems odd that a loan to facilitate Moffi has not been mentioned anywhere. But it seems like they are intent on a bidding war. Quite how that helps them in terms of replacements I am not sure. Indeed it wouldn’t surprise me if they came in with a loan offer after rejecting our transfer bid and making it clear they wanted an absurd fee. Which would make a rejection unsurprising. Because surely if it was the other way around a deal might have been possible. They would have bid for a loan striker and we would have said “funny you mention strikers” But maybe they were trying to secure a cheap short term replacement first before selling for big money This is only really relevant if he picks another pl club though. Because if the issues is on the player end and them not wanting to come then that’s just one of those things
thought I recognised the surname Another reason to feel old! His Dad was decent, although I’d prefer Alfie’s lad upfront
I imagine someone who would offer competition, would also be good option off the bench to sure up the game later on. Provably be fairly cheap too, if indeed accurate.
If we bring in all these players we are linked with then we will need to move some our existing players on otherwise our squad will be way too big
If we bring in a DM and a player as a right back cover (Bree, Juranovic or Spence are the links) then it would make sense to send AMN back to Arsenal. I don’t see much space for Adam Armstrong with Jackson, Orsic, Edozie and Djenepo. Especially if we do also get a central striker. Walcott will be out at the end of the season. Stu Armstrong doesn’t seem like he is going to fit under Nathan Jones. But maybe that is purely a fitness thing
Just looked on bbc who say that James Bree played on the right of a three for Luton. Transfermarkt have him playing at RCB, RB and RM (but presumably more as a wing back in a 3-4-3 type system). Seems to mirror how Lyanco is being used at the moment
There's no way that anyone else could be used in the same fashion as Lyanco, the Slavic god of chaos.
I think Jones sees Adam Armstrong as an important player, and imo he’s right. He has been very good the last couple of games. I’d personally have him ahead of Djenepo and Edozie at the moment. And Orsic and Jackson, we don’t know how either will take to Prem football at all.
