Typical Premier League manager reaction.....and yes, trying to get into the ref's subconscious before we even start.

The snobbery in football is disgraceful and anyone below Prem level is deemed as mere cloggers.

I remember the furore after Joe Bennett's (?) tackle on Leroy Sane... it was nothing more than a mistimed professional foul yet every man/woman/undecided/dog/cat/amoeba wanted him hung, drawn and quartered for it....

Laughable when you look at some of the heralded "greats" such as Keane, Scholes etc. who love nothing more than leaving one on someone!

He would start it and leave the others to finish it. Until Dave McKay pointed out to Bremner the error of his ways.

Chaps, hope you don't object but I figured we could recycle the original thread for the replay too?

It is only Leeds after all!

So, how do we go about this tonight?
Put out a team with instructions that the shackles are off and to give it all they've got?

    Put the 21s out there.
Need to focus on the important matter of avoiding relegation.

    My thoughts too.
Get them to give it a real go and be there for them if it doesn't go too well.

    No!

No question our league game against Millwall is by far the most important, but Leeds have got a Prem game on the weekend against Brentford and their thinking could well be the same as ours.

Got a feeling we should go for this. We're not expected to get anything other than a drubbing tonight but with a strong team and the right attitude, we could at least avoid embarrassment, and you never know.

The Millwall game will be our last for a fortnight. Our scheduled league game at Luton is off because they're in the next round of the FA Cup even if we aren't - so time for a new manager to sort things out.

    Elland Stats.jpg

Bit late posting the "update" but what the heck.... updated images in the interests of saving the planet and doing my bit to recycle. I hadn't really thought about how much Elland Road looks like a sh!te CCS from a distance!

I can't imagine the replay will be too dissimilar to what we had in the first match in fairness in terms of the team line ups (unless of course the wee Jessy from Yorkshire is still griping about how nasty we were to his iddy biddy little soft touch players and decides to "protect" those that played first time around from such a severe mauling as they got in the first game <doh>

    What's the team news?
Dean Whitehead, Cardiff's interim manager, has reported a clean bill of health from the last game against Wigan Athletic. Cardiff fans hope that means the return of Rubin Colwill, who has missed the last two matches due to illness. Jamilu Collins and Ebou Adams remain the long-term absentees, while Mahlon Romeo is also expected to be out for a few more weeks yet.
Leeds will be without Adam Forshaw, Crycensio Summerville, Stuart Dallas and Archie Gray with injuries. Leeds boss Jesse Marsch could welcome back Luis Sinisterra to the fold, but Liam Cooper will face a late call to be involved after picking up a knee injury.

    What have the managers said?

Leeds boss (Big) Jesse Marsch: "I think we'll see a stronger side. They played a lot of reserve players, I think. I think we'll see more of a team that they played against Wigan on the weekend.
"I think that the new manager (Whitehead) will will want the job and will try to get his team to perform that way and go for the win.
"He has some history with certain people that I think also have a similar methodology to what we tried to do here. Valerien Ismael is a coach that I know well from Austria and a very good coach. He was at West Brom and he was at Besiktas - they were at Besiktas together.
"So I expect him to play a little more intensively than they did at Cardiff, but still look to defend well and catch us on the counter. So we'll be prepared for that kind of match."

Cardiff interim boss Dean Whitehead: "The boys are ready. Everybody is fit. We are looking forward to it. It's a good game for us.
"The atmosphere is going to be really good. We will have travelling supporters so we have got to put in a performance for them.
"It's an amazing amount of people who are going to come and support us on a Wednesday night, away at Leeds, we have to wear the shirt with pride and put on a performance for them."

    Matchday Odds
Leeds are once again overwhelming favourites to win.... Hopefully we'll stick it to the bookies.

Home Win 2/7 Draw 19/4 Away Win 9/1

Of course, for those of us that don't fancy a trip ooop North, the game is live on ITV and will have both Earnie & Roy Keane in the studio. Sadly we'll also be suffering dull Lee Dixon on commentary.

This may well be Dean Whiteheads one chance to impress the hierarchy at the club.... if we do win, don't be surprised if our new manager is appointed by tomorrow until the end of season!

If the game is as entertaining as the first one.... I'm coining a name for it...

Forget the rumble in the jungle, or the thrilla in Manila.... lets talk about the Ding Ding in the Dales!

Etete and Colwill in for Philogene and Isaak.

The other 9 starters from the first leg stay in. Fair reward for their efforts. Although I'm surprised Isaak isn't starting unless 3 starts on the trot is a bit too much for him after his return.
