As it appears that the SNP will go ahead with an illegal move to put minimum pricing on alcohol in Scotland, are there any modern day Al Capone's out there ready to smuggle cheap booze in from England?

I blame all the thick sheep who voted SNP 1 and 2 at the last Holyrood elections. Now they have an overall majority and can put through just about any legislation they like.

I'll be straight up there with 16 cases of Buckfast in the back of the Toyota Land Cruiser. I'm hoping the protestant nut-nut section amongst our celtic cousins push for a total ban, then I'll be selling your own whisky back to you. Gotta be easier than running ***s out of Gibraltar in the old days...

Order it online from Tesco and they deliver it at English prices. Just stock up in advance.

It'll be cheaper to buy Scotch whisky in England and Wales than it will be in Scotland. Brilliant eh?

The SNP won EVERY seat in the North East region AND picked up a seat on the Regional list because they got so many votes, more votes per population than any other region in Scotland.

Bunch of thick, tartan clad, teuchter arseholes.

Us Jocks drink like ****, and cost the NHS a fortune 'cos we get pissed so much, then batter **** out of each other.

Scotland has historically had a problem with alcohol, the problem being we can't drink enough of it.

I'm against high taxation in the main, but it's blatantly obvious that we drink too much, and this is probably the best way to deal with it.

But like smoking, it won't stop the people who are dependent on drink from stopping, it'll only raise money that will be spent on the NHS treating the alkie ****s.

You don't try to cure a drink problem with rasing the price ...

***s cost about £7 a packet and people still smoke.

It's like trying to stop bigotry by banning songs!

****in pointless - SNP: bandwagon jumpin bastards!

What would you suggest Mr Pud?

And the money raised will go some way for paying for the hospital treatment that Alcohol, no doubt, costs the taxpayer.
