Bright Samuel? Sell on fee? I'm not sure mate, I can't remember if we sold him with a sell on clause, or if he left because his contract ran out. I can't see why his transfer fee is so high. He hasn't done as well at Fenerbache as he with us.
Complete mugs if they pay that for him. He's played as a wing back for them and not as a winger, so presuming that's where he'll play for Palace if they sign him. Palace bought Ferguson in that position over 2 years ago I think, and he's been injured ever since they bought him and still hasn't played lol. Good business that, the sort of transfer we usually do !
Didn't BOS sign a pre agreement with Ferebache behind our back, and we got annoyed...and so got some sort of agreement where they paid it some compensation and we let him go 6 months early. Does not sound as though there was any sell sell on agreement .
We had no choice. BOS would not sign a new contract (Eze did, and we got decent money fir him). Remember also BOS was really up and down in form, he only came good towards the end, and we had already exerted an extra year option. He had us over a barrel...you can't make a player sign a contract. We offered Nico a longterm contract, and people are saying we shouldn't have. Can't have it both ways
Funny how we remember things differently. For me he improved constantly but lost interest when Eze moved on after the Turks had turned his head and he didn't want to play for us at all. Different considerations apply to Nico as he has been tried and rejected by every manager since Steve McLaren. He should never have been given a long term contract at all and I'd love to know what the person who found him saw in him.
BOS does have a physical presence, and from what I remember, was strong enough to hold off defenders. I'd worry Chair, against bigger/higher quality defenders, would be easily nullified, and would spend a lot of time on the floor frustrated. That is exactly what I remember from the BOS deal. He was sneaky about it, forced a deal and meant we didn't get as much as we might have. Made Eze look good because he stuck around and left us for a decent amount of money.
In all fairness to BOS, he looked after himself. Can't actually blame him for doing that. Whether he's playing at a better standard is debatable but I'm damn sure he's getting paid a lot more for doing so.
Turkish league to Prem is one hell of a leap, especially if playing as a wing back. I think it's all bollox anyway, haven't seen anything about it on Palace sites !
Spoke to a friend who works at QPR he told me we are signing four strikers.. A nurse, a teacher, a railway worker and a postman
