Rumors in the US is that FSG are interested in the planned NBA expansion and want to be involved in one of the new teams, most likely Vegas.

Buying into the NBA is hugely expensive though, so a partial investment could mean we get shafted again and see no money.
We and they really need an outright sale to satisfy all involved.

Why is NBA so pricey? Not like you need a big stadium,.the court is small, and you have small teams. Should be able to start a team on $20.

Qatar rumours picking up again. Of course if they really were interested... still the massive loophole that PSG are already in Champions League, so they probably can't buy us until after either us or PSG get knocked out.

Then they have a year to decide how they're going to figure out how to have two teams in CL when rules are against it (we won't be there next year.

Still Qatar not the most ethical, I'm sure they could bribe a few people.

They'd do it through a private owner or work it so that the club wouldn't be owned by the state (despite that being where the money was coming from)

    No thanks!

even if they were not human rights disaster zone and corrupt as hell (the world cup was such an absolute disaster... they shovel money at randoms and have shown very little positivity as a club owner at PSG.

As much as I don't want dirty oil money...

... I also don't want anyone else to have it either. League ****ed up letting the Saudis buy Newcastle after we had seen the warning signs of corruption following Chelsea and worse... City.

As much as I don't want Qatari money, it would be even worse if it went to Spurs or ManU.

Why did you choose to support Liverpool mate? Chelsea or Man City seem such a better fit for your mindset :bandit:

I read that there's a German/American conglomerate looking to buy or buy in. The reluctance to go back into the transfer market could mean that there is something imminent?

It's true. I got an official letter in the early 80's from David Moore's saying I had been selected as a Liverpool fan and that from thereforth I was to refer to myself as a Red.

It's ok mate I've got screen shots of those same ****s berating the Qatari's on your WC thread <laugh>

On a serious note, they're scum but this is the state of football as it is AND where it's going. It's unavoidable.

I'd love Jim Ratcliffe to buy United but it aint happening. Not a chance. So we'll probably go to the Saudi's.

It's unsustainable too. If these mega money oil barons own too many clubs trying to buy glory it simply can't work. Not everyone can buy the title each year. Someone is going to lose...

If City, Chelsea, Newcastle, Spurs, You and Us all become sugar daddy clubs someone is going to go empty handed each year. Some sugar Daddy owners are going to get upset they can't buy the title and jump ship... And then the club goes bankrupt when they have silly money wages and their silly money income has left.

It's dangerous. No league can support more than a few sugar daddy clubs at a time without risk of well known names collapsing.

Once they own enough PL clubs, they vote YES for a European Super League #endgame
