What a still image doesn’t show us that the ball is moving at a considerably faster pace than Akanji and the trajectory is away from him into the path of Fernandes. Akanji was taken out of the game by the pass by Casemiro. He was never in a position to affect the goal (for the desperate hypothetical scenarios being advanced).

Walker wasn't. Ederson wasn't. It was offside.
Do you honestly think that decision goes the other way if it's Utd defending at Bournemouth?

    Edit: https://www.skysports.com/football/...nst-manchester-city-dermot-gallaghers-verdict

A decision so bad that Dermot Gallagher has disagreed with an on-field decision! <laugh>

Shakhtar Donetsk president Rinat Akhmetov has pledged to donate £22m to the Ukrainian war effort following the transfer of Mykhailo Mudryk to Chelsea:

It’s no surprise anyone would disagree with it because the law is too ambiguous. It’s unworkable in the Rashford situation because it requires not just a subjective interpretation of the law, but to make a number of hypothetical decisions about what player A, B or C would have done or why they acted as they did had Rashford not been in an offside position.
The law needs to clear. You can’t have such a subjective rule as this. It’s bound to be applied inconsistently.

A lot of them have been rewritten that way. It's almost like that's the point...

It all boils down to `benefit of doubt`, some clubs get a disproportionate amount of `benefit of doubt` going in their favour compared to others, and coincidentally they all play in a red shirt. It changes the dynamic of games, affects momentum / confidence and points gained / dropped. Spurs for example, we all saw the clear penalty and potential red card waved away when Sessegnon was shoved in the back by TAA, we all saw the clear rugby tackle on Kane and penalty not given etc etc

Nope, Los Ladrones were the poster boys of the Francoist regime, a regime that came about after a lot of reds got shot

Salernitana responded to this result on Sunday by sacking manager Davide Nicola.
They've announced his replacement today: Davide Nicola... <confused>

It's perfectly consistent. Are they Man Utd at Old Trafford? No? Then it's offside.

Anyone else suddenly get the felling that The FA have decided this season must and shall be a repeat of 1995-6, but with the Runners in Newcastle's place?
