Corberan has a club of his own in the play off places. Why would he come back to leeds.. We do not own him.
But we are not that big a draw anymore. Corberan has west brom in the play off places. If we replace the yank plank for next season we need experience.
You’re right we’re not a big draw anymore, can’t offer European football etc but we’re a bigger draw than a PL WBA ffs Despite that if Marsch goes we can still attract a top quality coach though. Just have to pay top whack. As in Bielsa and his entourage cost about £6m per year. Turned out to be money well spent. When we haven’t the resources to compete against the CL clubs it’s better for us to invest £10m for example on a manager and his staff than a player who could be out injured and useless to the club. Maybe there’s an experienced coach out there who’d relish the challenge. And no, I don’t mean Dyche.
Realistically we’re a bigger draw than Brighton, Brentford, Fulham, and Burnley to name but a few. All those teams are having great seasons. Their coaches would jump at the chance of managing Leeds. Whatever anyone thinks of him, Thomas Frank, his coaching staff and his scouting network would do wonders at Leeds. Total package £10m per year (ish) Better spending money that way than taking a chance on an unproven upcoming player who could turn out to be useless (or injury prone) Having said that I’ve a feeling Rutter will turn out to be an absolute star but if the coaching/style of play/tactics isn’t right then we won’t get the best out of him.
Potter coached for 13 years before getting the Brighton gig. He was sponsored by the PFA prior to 2005 at university. Frank has coached in various roles since 1998 at various levels. De Zerbi retired from playing in 2013 and immediately jumped in to coaching/management so has around 10 years experience.
Would love to get Thomas Frank who’s now also gained valuable PL experience. Good coaches will know exactly how other PL teams set out to play and which refs seem a bit more biased, not to mention getting used to VAR and the inability to get away with lots that you could in the championship
Nah, 2p, you caught the Leeds defence coaches implementing their 'parking the bus' routine immediately prior to a match. Step 1 - carry goals to car park Step 2 - park bus in front of goal Step 3 - report successful implementation to Jesse Step 4 - find out reason we still got humped & report back to Jesse
