I've always thought the same. We already had the likes of Woodgate, Smith, Kewell, etc. A couple of wise signings would have taken us just as far IMO.

What about O'Dea? He made an awful mistake against Cardiff but he's been solid enough, especially compared to what we had last season. Much more confident about our CB options after yesterday's performance.

Howson kept losin the ball yesterday, he hasn't been great all season. Do you think he is not playing well, as he is unsettled due to contract negotiations ?

Spot on Ben,we'd have done fine without those needless signings.
First match I saw was West Ham vs Leeds Feb '75, 1-1 draw, Duncan McKenzie scored our goal. Still had a couple of the greats playing-Norman Hunter stood out for me- immense.

I'm getting fed up with him, reading what he's said about signing a new contract, he seems to have an opinion he's bigger than the club! I'd atleast take the captain's armband from him and drop him, we will easily manage without him.

First match I saw was a reserve game between Notts Forest and Liverpool in 1994. Forest won 7-0 if I remember rightly. I was at the age where the mass flying off ticker-tape at half time was more interesting!

Sorry Simon, I was getting ahead of myself. That said, not sure what's happening with O'Dea at the moment. Las I heard he was being assessed by his club. If AOB has got his act together it'll be interesting to see if we pursue signing O'Dea permanently. Not sure all of this leaves Bruce. He must be looking at a loan move soon, just to get some game time as anything else.

A bit classy Jud. But Milner, Lennon, Howson, & Delph? What could have been our greatest midfield ever???

My first game that I can remember was Leeds vs Southend in Sept 2006. It was Dennis Wise's first game in charge. The programme said - 'a new era' - on the front and the kick off was messed up and had to be retaken, to which one guy behind me said 'great start to a new era'. 2-0 with Ian Moore scoring a rare goal after breaking free from the halfway line, and Robbie Blake scored a cracker of a freekick late on.

I'd been to a game at Elland Road before when I'd won free tickets in school, but no idea when or who played and I don't remember anything about the game. There was still terracing though, so it must have been a while back. I'd been to Ipswich Town games before that as well, but it was Leeds who got me hooked!

Dad is a leeds fan. I was a leeds fan before that but money was tight in those days so didnt get to go to games especially travelling from london and back but around a year or two after that we starting going to games and then we went to a game every month and then we ended up going to every home game as well as any away games that were in london. It went from there really.
