He’s a non executive director, what do you want him to be doing? & it’s his job to present the games on sky, he’s hardly going to start shouting FTM live on TV is he?
At the end of the day, this is how it's going to be going forward. It's only going to get worse unfortunately. The days of laughing at Newcastle are over, and have ended very quickly. The respect that this takeover has bought them in the media is ridiculous. Jim White nailed his colours to the master very very early on. Loads of "pundits" have bought into them on the groud floor so they can say they were behind them at the start of the "project".
Jones has already answered these questions before, he works for Sky and has to do his job on screen. He hates the mags though. He has also said Sky don't give a **** who the 'big' teams are, they show the games that will get the biggest global audience. If Fleetwood v Forest Green would get 100 billion viewers, Sky would show it.
May I make an observation? It may come across as a tad extreme but if you don't want to see Sky sucking up to those up the road why watch their matches?
It's not respect mind . It's just a slavering desperation not to miss out on a news story, to be out of " the gang". And the horror stories will never stop regarding Saudi.
