Today is progress. A performance that probably deserved to add to that big tally of draws turned into a win. If we can do that more often with these performances then that's the next big step.
If we're serious about making progress then we need to start comparing ourselves to top teams and not mid-table ones!
We deserved the points against a good side. Fulham are a good side and had just beat Chelsea. Our finishing was poor but we still kept them without a legal shot on target. There's squad weaknesses but as of now I'm most worried about Bruno.
Seen some of them saying the other day that Eddie Howe makes their skin crawl, he seems "creepy" (creepy, weirdo and stuff are words they use a LOT to describe anyone they don't like.) They then said that of course, only a Newcastle fan base would fawn over a manager like that. Except for Sunderland, who were fawning over known corrupt scumbag and universally hated manager Sam Allardyce because he kept them in 15th.
