I wasn’t starting a Bielsa v JM debate, MB has gone and won’t be returning but if you think Jesse is the superior coach, we’ll have to disagree. We’ve conceded less mainly due to the form of Meslier in my view.
I know you're not, but most people are. We are better in the air this season, and also better with set pieces.
I’m off to the pub and hopefully drinking whatever you’re on I’d love to share your optimism, however, Jesse Marsch has developed an unfortunate habit of losing football matches.
For some reason @ellandback wants to keep kicking Bielsa ? It's Jesse's gig now and the buck stops with him.
1) You said Bielsa players, I was pointing out he inherited them 2) Ayling is still better than Kristensen 3) Cooper is better than Llorente, Llorente has just been given a 3.5 year new contract
Because he’s now’t but a trouble maker that’s why, personally I try to ignore him but he won’t go away with his anti Bielsa comments
Mine said never sit near the door when in a round so giving yourself chance to catch a tight arse doing one
If Arsenal win this one it could be title winning. Pivotal game for the title this one. Take it your lad is a Gunner? How the hell did you let that happen? Just watched Newcastle huff and puff to a win against Fulham with Fulham missing a penalty when Mitrovic slipped and hit the ball twice when taking it. I keep saying that winning and losing is a habit. Amazing how much luck you get when you're flying high and when you're at the bottom everything goes against you. Suppose that's why we all watch it.
True, but I'm a square peg at CB. Pretty sure I'd score 50+ goals a season if they'd only give me that no. 9 shirt. Well, according to me dreams .....
Firstly, Bielsa's tactics were never "worked out", they were crystal clear to everyone 5 minutes into his first game against Stoke ... high tempo, create overloads and press, press, press ... remember the classic "the Leeds press just isn't funny anymore, if Joe Allen is forced any further back by Klich he'll be in 2016 playing for Liverpool" Secondly, there never was a player revolt against Bielsa or a "secret meeting" begging him to change ... as Kalvin Phillips made clear in a recent interview, Leeds tactics changed constantly during a game, it wasn't just Plan A The clear and obvious reason Bielsa endured such a difficult final season at Leeds was down to injuries and nothing else ... he was robbed of his best players for the majority of the season, and his makeshift teams simply weren't capable of playing at the level required to deliver Bielsa Ball That first season Prem finish of 9th wasn't a fluke, it was a proper reflection of what Bielsa Ball could do if the right personnel were on the pitch ... only a handful of teams had the quality to live with Leeds when they had their best players available ... every game was exciting, hectic and a joy to watch ... pity the Board couldn't deliver the players needed to freshen up the squad when Bielsa needed the backing ... heck, they even refused to shell out £10m for O'Brien from Hudds when it was clear Forshaw would be a long term absentee No Elland, you're not spicing anything up, you're just being disrespectful to the legend who transformed our club and put us back on the map ... I believe no other manager would have been able to get Leeds promoted in today's world of parachute money ... Leeds just didn't have the financial clout to assemble a promotion winning team ... Bielsa understood this, so he used his genius to actually polish a rotten turd Bielsa deserves our respect, and you really should understand that his methods didn't fail, it was just bad luck and a 49ers influence itching to get a Yank poster boy in as manager that did for him ... Bielsa is a true great, and if Pep, Pochettino and thousands of others in the game say so, that's good enough for me I am forever grateful for Bielsa and his incredible brand of football ... gracias Marcelo As for Marsch not changing his tactics, well, these tactics haven't worked for 11 months now ... at least with Bielsa you knew that if the right players were in the team there was a high probability of winning, and being entertained ... Marsch Ball is now blue around the lips, and it won't be long before all the life is sucked out of it ... the only problem is Leeds don't have the luxury of more losses waiting for this to happen ... by the time rigor mortis sets in, it will be too late and Leeds will be down Marsch needs to change and quickly ... notice how the Sky pundits and the Scum loving media aren't calling for Marsch to change a thing ... well, that's because Leeds are struggling, and they love it The media went full on nuclear against Bielsa from day one because they knew he would make Leeds successful ... whenever Leeds lost a game, they'd call him naive and stubborn, and suggested Leeds should consider sacking him ... when Leeds got beat 7-0 at Citeh with a very weak team, Bielsa got trashed in the media, yet none of them would acknowledge his team was ravaged by injury Contrast that to Liverpool who apparently lost out on the title last season because Klopp lost the services of ONE player for the run in ... VVD being out was what they considered to be an injury crisis, and in every presser Klippity reminded us of this Bielsa was class for Leeds, a true gentleman who actually coached his players to be better ... let's not get petty about his legacy, and stop hating him because Leeds lost a few games in the Prem with a weakened squad ... don't believe the media narrative about Bielsa, you'd simply be showing the level of intelligence of Steve Evans, and nobody wants that!
