Not just an effort to put off Leicester fans, a few of us have said we'd like Joyce back as our manager when ever we happen to next need one. Have returning managers ever had a better second spell at a club than first spell? I know it's restricted a little because if a manager fails with you you're not likely to reappoint them because the fans would already be dubious about it and they'd get no time before there were complaints so there's already a higher than average bar set for achievements. Joyce for example managing to turn round the Great Escape season was ridiculously good given how far off we were at one point, so even getting us promoted and keeping us up would in terms of scale of achievement relative to everything at the club not be as good as the GE season.
He wont be, but the state the club was in when he took over to how it is now he has done well Walter Smith did well when he returned to Rangers
It depends on how they was first time around if they did well the fans will be prepared to give them time which helps
