so sound of one hand clapping while lifting tea balls for upper body strength with the other. I presume he levitates while doing this.
Just had an Interesting little chat with lad. Comparing teams from 17,18 etc We settled on the champions league final 18 Madrid have 3 players that still play for them. We've got 7. Looking through the top teams the recycling if players is huge until you come to us and we are stuck with the same players year in year out. I didnt realise how few new faces we'd brought in that had actually cemented a starting birth
Chelsea signing Mudryk for 80m. fofana 75m Cucurella 60m Sterling 50m Badiashile 35m Koulibaly 35m Chukwuemeka 15m santos 15m Auba 12m Felix 12m loan Slonina 9m £318m spent already. Add in the 80m for Mudryk and that’s £400m spent in half a season… absolutely mental. Add in the 1.5bn debt that was just magically wiped off and have to really ask questions about ffp. Just makes a mockery as to why fsg want out though. How do you compete with that every season?
in theory one newcastle guy could sell to another newcastle guy and they could pass the club round Saudi Arabia and spend a billion a season or more if the Chelsea model is allowed. there is absolutely zero way what Chelsea have done can be squard with ffp.
smart lad. I think we all know klopp is a loyal man. I don't think he's ever had to worry about this issue as bayern picked them dry at dortmund but there was a lot of aged players when he left. there's a lot of good in senior pros teaching the next lot along bit if they cannot ulrun then it's pointless.
I think there is as large degree of FSG in this too. I get the impression they're willing to spend big when required but don't understand football and think we've already got the players because, well, we have but older.
In American sports the players tend to stay at the top level well into their mid/late thirties. LeBron is 38 and still considered to be one of the best in the NBA, Brady is still going at 45
We haven't got the players who are young enough to play 4-3-3, and definitely not young nor energetic enough to play the high line we did 3-4 years ago. FSG know this though, and I think Klopp does too but is scared to try any other formation or tactic.
Chelsea have signed Mudryk for an initial £62m on an 8.5 year contract, that is a long contract assume to get around FFP rules. He will probably play against us next Saturday. God only knows how much Chelsea have now spent since the new owners arrived
