So firpo the only left back we so Marsch has to back him. What is he supposed to say firpo is a tosspot and ignore him.
Not sure Koch has had a new contract yet but am open to be proven wrong. I've openly admitted that the Llorente contract extension is a mistake.
So, are you seriously happy with how things are going? No problem if you are but at what point will you run out of excuses and putting it down to bad luck? I have tried to get behind Jesse but it’s a results business and he isn’t getting any.
Am I happy getting a point a game? No, but it'll keep us up. Am I happy that we keep conceding stupid goals? No. Am I entirely happy with Marschs system? No. Is Marsch entirely to blame? No. Are all the players capable of playing consistently well at this level? No. Am I happy with overall performances this season as a team with the squad available? Yes, I see improvement. We've been competitive in nearly every game. We weren't at the end under Bielsa. That's improvement right there. When will I blame Marsch? When the new signings don't improve performances. Specifically in defence because that's where our weakest links are.
I'd heard they were in discussions but that was weeks ago. To be honest, Koch has probably been our best defender this season but that's not really much of a compliment at this point. The Llorente extension still flummoxes me to this day. It has to be financial.
Except we’re not getting a point a game so guess it won’t keep us up. Why is he happy with this season’s performances? How isn’t Marsch to blame when we are two points off bottom? Would you have accepted this under Bielsa? Are you both just doubling down because you’ve backed JM and can’t accept you might be wrong?
I was sat watching us lose possession for their first goal last night, almost seeing it in slow motion and thinking 'we're in trouble now', happens every time the opposing side wins the ball from us in or around their penalty area. It's almost expected yet we carry on in the same old way. No getting away from the fact we do not have a defender capable at this level, (I don't think we've had one since Ben White) but Jesse appears to do nothing to sort what is a very obvious flaw. I don't like his system and I do want him to go but I think he should be given his chance over the next four games. For me I would give Carlos a go at the end of this season if we remain a PL club, he did it with Huddersfield and now with WBA and he like a lot of our squad has potential.
