Southampton have won away .Fair enough , entitled to be happy , but celebrating like they’ve won the cup - they are still bottom of the league !
Both of them will be lucky to be in jobs by the end of the month at this rate. Lampard is rightly getting stick. but West Ham are underperforming as badly, if not worse. Brendan Rodgers could find himself in trouble too if he's not careful. It's madness when you look at that league sometimes. Southampton were "dead and buried" but suddenly have a bit of confidence. Forest are a "basket case" but now midtable and 5 points clear of the drop. Bournemouth are the most likely team to finish bottom in my view. At the other end, Fulham, Brighton and Brentford are all having quietly good seasons.
I hate the idea of a half time interview. It's common in American sports and I'm not a fan. Let the sportsmen focus on their job and then they can talk to you after the game. Nobody is ever going to say anything worth hearing halfway through a game.
It looks like it's got nasty at Everton. Some of the videos of them confronting the players are awful. That one there of Mina is pointless - "speak up lad and you can be our captain"... what they **** do they want him to say? There's another one of Gordon where he's driving down a road and they've put barriers in the middle of the road to try and stop him. Then they're telling him to get out and speak to the fans. It's a dark night on a potentially dodgy street in Walton and loads of angry scousers are wearing hoodies and telling him to get out of the car. Can't exactly blame the lad for not wanting to. Funniest one was some lad who was right at the front to stop Mina, who ended up shaking his hand going "fair play lad, you're the only one man enough to talk to the fans"... ironic considering the fans are the cowards ambushing people. I like Everton as a club and I've got loads of mates who are Evertonian and good people, but there's a large section of their fans that turn on the team faster than anyone. When things are going badly, Goodison is the most toxic ground in the country. The most baffling thing of it all, is that they want the players to stop and speak to the fans but they literally don't know what they want to say to the players or what answers they're expecting. "Show a bit of heart" for ****s sake, proper armchair football fans comment that, as if the only problem is that a player doesn't care enough.
On one of the videos there is a female copper telling the fans "they have been told by the club not to stop and talk" yet they give the players pelters for not stopping. Either way, they look absolutely ****ed and written to the core. Surprised Lampard hasn't had the bullet tonight tbh.
They look like us several years ago. It's not down to Lampard or a single player, it's complete mismanagement over several years. That being said, I still think he might be sacked this weekend, because he's not helping. A group of angry men shouting at a 21 year old lad and calling him a "****house" for doing what he was told by the club and the police. There's a huge element of football fans who are complete ****ers and act that way in a crowd like cowards. I guarantee none of those fans is having a go at Mina 1 on 1.
