Worst refereeing performance I've ever seen. He is ****ing dangerous that bloke.

Lads dug in and gave it everything but couldn't beat 11 players and 3 officials.

Swansea are ****, dull as dishwater.

Swansea’s passing game was well suited to playing against 10 men and they exploited the situation well however until the sending off we were by far the better team and well on top Poor tackle by Onein changes the game but wouldn’t have been in that position if the ref had given what was a stonewall penalty against Amad What was turning into a very good game spoilt by the ref

The worst ref and officials performance I've witnessed at the SOL and to be fair we've had some right f*cking duck eggs over the years

Just to let you know that this Ref was the same Ref that didn't know the Laws of the Game when he refused to have a penalty re taken
The Law said the infringement deems it to be re taken when we were in the Championship v Burton
not 1 of the 4 officials we had that day knew the Laws of the Game
he was suspended for 1 month while the other 3 officials were suspended for 2 games

seems he hasn't improved in all these years

    Andy’s Player Ratings:
    https://rokerreport.sbnation.com/20...arly-red-card-gives-moggas-men-too-much-to-do

    Anthony Patterson: 6/10

No chance with the first goal, unlucky with the second after Batth diverted it against a Swansea played but could maybe have done better with the third, despite the power and slight deflection on the shot.
    Trai Hume: 7/10
Started off really brightly at right back, with one notable run forward. Switched to left back and defended well from there.
    Dan Ballard: 7/10
Defended strongly throughout and always out quick to try and win the ball .
    Luke O’Nien: 0/10
Sent off very early and put the team under pressure for most of the game. Although the tackle wasn’t high or with studs up, he went unnecessarily hard into a tackle and in a position he didn’t need to do it.
    Lynden Gooch: 5/10
Looked OK at left back early on, getting forward to put a couple of crosses in. Switched to right back and drove a great cross across the six-yard box in the second half but unfortunately there was no-one on the end of it. Got far too narrow for the first and second goals and we were punished for it.
    Corry Evans (C): 6/10
Started well on his return but then had to spend the rest of the game on the back foot trying to protect the back four.
    Dan Neil: 8/10
Was bright from the off today, looked dangerous going forward and then really worked hard after the red card.
    Patrick Roberts: 6/10
Had started off looking bright, won a free kick just outside the box with a burst forward, took the set piece himself and fired over. Sacrificed after O’Nien’s red card so Batth could slot into defence.
    Amad: 6/10
A couple of bright moments early on and played a nice ball to the overlapping Gooch in the second half but never got to really show his best due to the early red card.
    Jack Clarke: 6/10
Worked hard on the left wing and put in the cross that led to the goal but another stifled by the sending off.
    Ross Stewart: 6/10
Ended up very isolated with no real chances to work with, referee didn’t give him any decisions but really put a shift in.

    Substitutes
    Danny Batth: 7/10

A man mountain at the back as usual, despite his lay off, and got an assist with his header to Dan Neil. So unlucky to see his attempted clearance come back off a Swansea player and into the goal, should probably have left it for Patterson but difficult not to go for it.
    Abdoullah Ba: 6/10
Showed plenty of energy when he came on but unfortunately the game was already over.
    Edouard Michut: 6/10
Came on in place of Evans late on with the game already settled.
    Jewison Bennette: 6/10
Looked lively on the left in his short cameo.
    Leon Dajaku: 6/10
Like Stewart he was isolated up top but was keen to close Swansea down, good to see considering the game was all but over.

Man of the Match: Dan Neil
Started the game in good form and was causing Swansea problems with his darts forward from midfield. Kept that up for the rest of the game despite the sending off, as he was usually quick to get forward on our rare attacks and got himself a goal for his efforts. Also worked really hard alongside Evans as Swansea dominated the ball after the red card.

    Frustrating.

Thought we looked decent before the red. I'm a bit torn on that, seen them given like. Changed/spoiled the game, felt the Swansea players all making a meal of it helped to make the refs mind up. Mind you, the foul on Amad is a penalty minutes before. If the ref misses it, what the hell is the linesman doing?

Death by passing after that, thought they were largely all fart and no smell for their possession but we tired and got picked off.

Less said about the quality of the referee and his assistants the better, an abysmal performance. Blatant foul on Stewart before their second that was ignored, basically if anything was 50/50 it went against us.

    One of those days.

I'm not one to dig players out, but getting a straight red after 18 minutes with a stupid and reckless tackle like that gave the rest of his team mates a mountain to climb. it was obvious from the off we were getting nothing from that ref today. As nice as he is, that was stupid today.

Spot on regarding the linesman, they are becoming pointless now and seem terrified to make a call on anything should they get it wrong.

I don't see from the North stand really but it looked like Gooch ducked from a relatively simple ball in.

I agree with this about the calls, and O'Nien was/is stupid the way he dives in sometimes. It was a fair enough red that I don't think will be appealed but I also think that the ref didn't HAVE to give it, if that makes any sense. He could have just given a yellow and not imposed himself and spoiled the game. Reds should be a last resort. I doubt very much that that would have been a straight red in a world cup final say.

People are terrible with their biases mind. Gooch 5/10 and blamed for 2 goals. Batth at fault for 2 goals and involved in the 3rd (unfortunately) 7/10.

I think Batth has been player of the season so far this year, but he was ****e today.

Just got back, calmed down and had time to divulge this afternoon. I have still come to the conclusion that Keith Stroud is a cheating little **** and nothing anyone says will change my mind.

I think 09 maybe got carried away with all the "Mr Sunderland" stuff that people have been saying after his good performances and threw himself into the tackle. If the tackle had been clean we'd have all been applauding him, but unfortunately the ****e ref didn't give him a second chance.

Right, he was lucky a couple of times at the start of the season with tackles that were probably worse. He just makes bad decisions now and again.
