Agree with Smith and for that matter Longman they were both poor in particular Smith did absolutely nothing on the right except go backwards
He did everything wrong in the position he was put in. Just plays it too safe when he should be the one running at them. He’s not a terrible player, but he’s not this level nor does he have the confidence.
Tetteh made a difference. We just need to be able to hit his head with a cross instead of the first man or out for a goal kick.
I’m not Longman’s biggest fan but I thought he was playing well today and trying to do the right thing. Was one of our only good players in that first half. Like Smith though, I don’t believe he is up to this level yet, especially if we are aiming upwards. He has improved a lot though and I think he has more potential than Smith.
Longman certainly played better than Smith out wide, neither are up to the task though. Hoping to see at least Tetteh to start for one of them in the next match.
Great to keep going to the bitter end and well done Oscar BUT it doesn’t hide the fact that that was an abject performance and Rosie needed to have switched to a plan B a lot earlier. Only once Tetteh and Elder were on and we started to hit more hopeful balls forward and into the box did we look at all threatening. The rest was dross and powder puff.
U R welcome. Came across it completely by accident to be honest. I'm a bit thick so got Mrs Thunder to 'bookmark' it whatever the **** that means.
Absolutely atrocious last fifteen from us Crosses into the box Chances excitement And a goal Disastrous way to play and certainly not like the highlights of the first half Sort it out rosenior
The thing with Longman is, he can dribble and run with the ball at pace, but he never takes his eye off the ball. He can't look up to see what we clever footballers call the 'picture'.
Got away with that one, a point when you play that poorly is a gift. If Rosie wants to play this way and challenge for promotion then he has to find a plan b/a way to break down and unlock teams that are going to play against us with deep banks of 5 and 4 when defending. Question is, does Rosie have to flexibility/knowledge/experience and do we have the players to find an answer.... On the players side of it, I think it's a no overall ATM (we definitely do have some)
I think we do have the players to be honest. I think Rosenior is the man for the job too but it’ll probably be too late.
Rosenior's biggest challenge is improving home form, another 2 points dropped, f**k off Huddersfield.
I think it’s more personnel at this point. Albeit 3/3 games playing against a side playing like this, we’ve always found a way (today, mackems and blackpool) which would suggest the flexibility is there.
Like when he took their defender on then cut it back for Slater who's decent strike brought about a good save you mean?
Jones was poor, Greaves was poor first half, Seri was uncharacteristically very poor, Longman tried as always but did nowt, never in my life is Tyler Smith a winger, Slater was anonymous again and I struggle to see why he keeps getting starts, let alone stay on the pitch for the full 90. Tetteh, Elder and Tufan were game-changers. If Tetteh is fit enough, him, Elder and Tufan should start against Sheffield United. Óscar took his goal well and saved us complete embarrassment but we were so poor for most of that game. So lethargic.
They’re **** We have good playersany idiot could stick them on the pitch and we’d do ok Which is what happens when he’s run out of ideas
