Not great, but belted at him from 10 yards, with a defender sliding in. Not sure he deserves criticism for it.
Sensible move to rest our key players and give the lads some game time, this ref purposely spoilt the game no doubt about it.
I know many won’t agree with this - but it’s okay that we have off days. And it’s nice in some sick sort of way, that we can have a day like today and it not feel disastrous. All part of learning experience.
As @Prehab26 said a page or so back, 1 of those days. Itll be a learning curve for the boys for sure. Tough game nxt week against boro but fancy us to give any team a game when we are on our day. Couple big weeks for us, hopefully stewart signs his deal and we get 3 players in at least to improve the squad by the end of the month.
Thought he got a hand on it but it went through, was fairly smashed at him and maybe a slight deflection
i would not say it is even unlucky...said it many a time, every time a ball bounces free it goes to the opposition, add p1ss-potical ref's such as today and we are forever on an uphill battle. well done to the lads though, they fought all the way and two goals came from what should have been free kicks to us (one the penalty) so i think they can feel very hard done to...don't want to throw blame anywhere but that was a daft tackle from onien especially with this ref, one of thier players holding hume back yet hume sticks his hands on the lad and he is on his arse with a free kick given, sometimes you just think some ref's are bribed. anyway, not the end of the world if the right calls were given this would have been a much different result.
