I hear Spurs are watching Alex Scott of Bristol City It may seem underwhelming to you guys, but trust me this would be good business He's simply the best young player I have seen in 40 years Someone will pay the £25m - it's a steal Scott would favour a move to you because he's a Spurs fan (Man U, Leicester, Wolves, Palace and Burnley also interested)
Juventus got stuffed 5-1 by Napoli last night I guess they may need to sell some players to fund a hasty rebuild...
He’s been on our radar for a while, mate. In truth I don’t think we’d be the best option for him as we’ve been a bit of a graveyard for young players in recent years and Conte especially is just so reluctant to hand chances to them unless he absolutely has too. Only way it’d probably make sense from Scott’s perspective is if we signed him and loaned him back for a year or two. We’re also stacked with CMs at the moment as it is so young or old it’d be a challenge getting into the side.
He's from Guernsey, so we should clearly buy him and loan him to Southampton. Maybe keep an eye on his diet, though... I've just noticed this other Guernsey footballer while looking up Scott: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dick_Le_Flem Somehow never seen him on any of those ridiculous player name lists!
Porro Watch Some somewhat shonky sources (i.e. Tier 3) are suggesting that we have agreed personal terms with Pedro Porro, and just have to thrash out a fee with Sporting
I'm afraid I don't really have one. I have an undersea cave though, which will be open from lunchtime tomorrow. We've got a January special on the pot roast if you book a table in advance. Entertainment will be provided by Leandro Trossard reciting haikus about joining Spurs.
Perhaps it says less about his injury and more about the fact that he has contributed **** all for over three years.
Chelsea have made a 30m euro (£26.5m) bid for PSV Eindhoven's England Under-21 winger Noni Madueke, 20. (ESPN) Is there anything we are good at when it comes to the football bit? Even Brighton and Brentford have better reputations than us on the scouting front piss poor organisation
We were doing fine until we started signing players wanted by the coach. That's the downside of hiring proven coaches...they have big egos and get what they want.
This one ain’t even about scouting, we lost him at a young age because he said he couldn’t see a path to our first team, similarly to Edwards who wanted out as Poch never gave him a second chance. We ballsed it up so badly with those two. To be fair it’d be pointless trying to re-sign either as well with Conte as manager, not a chance he’d play them unless multiple players were injured, just as has been the case for Sarr and Gil, they’ll probably be back to rotting on the bench soon too. Like I said yesterday to that Bristol City fan, we’re a graveyard for young talent nowadays, to think at one point we had a reputation for developing youngsters too.
No not scouting per say but that’s talent under our noses other clubs are hoovering up someone is **** at their job
