I'd like to see an unedited version of her reply, but she's genuinely vile, isn't she? She knows exactly what she's doing, too.
Not pointless (for those who engage in it) . Attempts to redefine terms "for your own fractious ends" is an act of Newspeak (c - 1984) . In this case, a notable attempt was several months ago in the USA by the Brandon Biden govt (so that it could not be claimed the economy under his watch had not entered recession - by the time-honoured and widely used definition) . Terminology is a continual process in my day job. The motivation however is far more honest than is so for socio-politics.
Devolder is both his mother's surname and the name of his dodgy company. Ridiculous that he's allowed to be employed in government at all, let alone at the level he's at. Some confusion over whether he's even American, as he's claimed to be born in Brazil in the past.
The Home Office asked them to take it down as they claimed it misrepresented what she said so they put the full clip up... https://www.freedomfromtorture.org/...to-say-your-hateful-language-has-consequences
Further to this... It has been (rightly) pointed out, that this event was a Constituency Meeting, so Cruella was there as MP, not HS. So the Home Office is facing some difficult questions as to why they are 'requesting' the video be taken down.... A UK Government Department shutting down Democracy....shurely shome mishtake?
You all remember when the Tories, including the then Home Secretary as I recall, were screaming at Sadiq Khan for pushing for the resignation of Cressida Dick? Well it turns out his decision was significantly based on the Carrick case that finally received Press clearance today. Wonder whether they will apologise? (They won't)
Oxfam has called for immediate action to tackle a post-Covid widening in global inequality after revealing that almost two-thirds of the new wealth amassed since the start of the pandemic has gone to the richest 1%: https://www.theguardian.com/inequal...ch-pocket-dollar-26tn-start-of-pandemic-davos The report said that for every $1 of new global wealth earned by a person in the bottom 90% in the past two years, each billionaire gained roughly $1.7m.
