As you said, you meant no offence and I took none. No need to say thanks. Off to watch 'The last 48 hours of Kurt Cobain' on BBC4. Hope to have a chat with you in the future. Night.
Do what I always do. Leave it til the January sales, find you've got no money after Chrimbo, then before you know it, it's spring and who needs a new coat then? Anyway, I thought being a mackem you'd be impervious to the cold.
Look no further than Mountain Equipment or Rab for a top quality winter coat. Why buy American when you can buy British? Super Dry clothing is for teenagers.

Where I live there is no cover and no contours so even when there is no wind, it is still windy. I'm looking for a coat that is wind proof, water proof and smart. Don't want an anorak, more something like this: please log in to view this image Expect I'll have to head for the bright lights of King's Lynn to find a decent shop.
Only bad thing about London is it's so bloody expensive. And there are times when you get sick of people and want to move to a windswept island where there are no humans, only sheep. But that soon passes.
i've just checked on the north face website and the only decent looking winter jackets ar around £280!
I don't know what to get, last winter I walked the dogs in a skiing jacket, kept the top half of me warm.
There's an old bloke who lives down the lane, ****, he's got a flat in North London, spends his time between the two. I wouldn't mind that setup myself (apart from the bum sex).
I just bought this, very choice I think; Doubt it's waterproof though. please log in to view this image If you want windproof/waterproof you need a mountain coat, that's all that will do the job. Bit paradoxical though given it's flat where you are.
