Tbf drinking driving is a fairly standard thing for footballers to be convicted of and they don't get suspended, ie Yaya Toure. He ain't Adam Johnson or Benjamin Mendy.
I doubt anyone will be bothered if he plays tbh, the statement has been released and they're dealing with it internally, anyone campaigning for him to get a ban is just desperate. The above is of course slightly influenced by the fact Joelinton is awesome; if this happened to Lewis or Laecelles, I'd be fully supporting a 6 month ban.
