Yeah, we are very good at moving the ball about but can still get pushed around / beaten too easily in the air. I suppose we are after tall, powerful, fast, very skilful players. Hugely in-demand players that are out of our reach at the moment (edit) because of the very high quality that we are looking for.
Message from a very good friend who told me Hume was going to Portsmouth and Ballard was signing. 'I hear Josh Keys is off to Sunderland.'
Yes mate, the lad who told me is high up at Exeter so it's a done deal if the lad accepts moving the length of the country. I'll post more when I speak to him next, night mate.
I've been talking to my Millwall supporting mate today and he said the Millwall fans and himself are glad to see the back of Cresswell. He even proved this to me by showing me comments on a Millwall forum on a thread written about him leaving them. Apparently theres a very good player in him somewhere ability wise, but right now the Championship is beyond his level and dropping to League 1 and doing what Doyle did for us would be the best way for him to develop. He has been at fault for alot of goals Millwall have conceded due to his bad decision making and choosing to dive in for a tackle too early and then getting skinned from his opponent instead of standing back and holding his ground. Theres a reason he hasnt played much for them and this is it apparently. I hope the rumours arent true, let him drop down a league for his own good, we dont need or want another young CB. On a side note most fans wanted Ballard back and even commented on the thread that he is missed. There was a minority of their fans that said hes a very good player but too injury prone to take a risk on though. He has a dodgy knee supposedly that set him back abit for them? His long term injury for us was no fault of his own. Nobody can help it when a dirty horrible ex smoggy player decides to stamp on your foot. That would have broken anyones foot, so that injury was out of his hands.
Not sure we need another right back/ right midfielder, unless there are plans to play him down the middle. I hope they're not planning on sending Hume out on loan. I think a fair few of us would be raging!
Seems a strange one. He’s 23 now so will want first team football. And absolutely no guarantee of it here given how good Hume looks and before that Gooch was playing well.
He has been playing RCB in a back 3 this season. Does seem a strange signing as Gooch and Hume have both been good this season. If we do sign him then I would loan Huggins out as he needs game time
Personally speaking, I think we're pretty well stocked for RBs but could do with another LB to go up against Cirkin for the spot and leave Alese for CB
Could Gooch be away? Know he was linked last jan with moves away? Hope not love the lad and he loves it here
