People who approach a roundabout in the left hand lane because there's a queue in the right hand lane then turn right but think it's acceptable because they put their right indicator on.

People who insist illegal immigrants are, without exception, genuine asylum seekers.

    Eastenders.

    Gullible Referees.

People who use 'then' instead of 'than'.

I'd best not get started or we could be here all night.

    Excellent thread.

    My first thoughts are:

Adverts. Particularly the ones IN THE MIDDLE OF A VIDEO!

Most modern music. Usually because they don’t have a tune or the singers can’t sing in tune.

Glory supporters/people who don’t support their local team because of this.

Someone has already said this, but people who take up the width of the pavement and don’t move at all when you pass.

Football hooligans. Grow up and watch the game or f*** off.

Constant temporary traffic lights in and around cottingham.

Multiple crappy new housing developments in and around cottingham. With no thought on their impact to it's infrastructure.

Normally wouldn't give a flying **** about the place but I have to work there.

Today, in Morrison's in Anlaby, bloke, must have been late 60's, huge beer belly dressed head to foot in full HKR third kit right down to the shorts but oddly no socks on. Why? So they didn't hide the freshly inked Leeds United tattoo on his calf. That really grinds my gears.

Ridiculous clickbait articles exclaiming that some influencer has 'invented' a new hack* which has got the whole Internet astonished with it's brilliance.

Turns out to be something most intelligent people have been doing since Soft Nick was a lad like cleaning your drains with a solution of bicarb and white vinegar.

Don't click folks, it's what they want you to do.

*This is not even a correct usage of the word hack either.

Horrible, souless places with no character they are. Packed right on top of each other because the more houses the more money. And that's all that matters apparently.

Contrast the houses around Green lane. 60s I guess they were mainly built. Not my cup of tea but they have nice open green spaces around them.

    We're going backwards.

Normally these “hacks” are preceded by the word genius and followed by dimwits exclaiming it has been a life changer.
Most are things taken for granted by anyone over 40 and passed on by parents and grandparents and previously referred to as common sense. A couple of recent life changing hacks have been to put your heater on full in your car on a frosty morning and turn the dial so that the heat is directed at your windscreen. Another was explaining why there were notches in the corner of squares in ice cube trays.<doh>

If people stopped buying these ****ty shoe-boxes, they'd stop building them. When junior was house hunting, he went to see new build starter homes from the usual suspects, Beal, Barratt etc and thought they were all soulless and poorly spec'd. Then he found one from a small local developer that's a whole different level, interesting buildings, with a good spec and barely any price difference to the shoe-boxes.

Are you describing Kingswood, the most desirable place to live in Hull, according to the RL daily, Hull Live?
I live In Cottingham, house around the corner from me just sold for £1.5m

Aye totally true. Much of Kingswood is just the same. Or north bransholme as I would say to anyone living there.

Obviously some lovely houses in cottingham. Thwaite street has a few. Got nice memories of the place. Student from Nottingham I used to bang in thwaite hall. Easy 9 out of 10. One of the best I had :emoticon-0152-heart
