Different in that Weghorst is a tall target man, and Rashford is a pacey skillful goalscorer, but both are still out and out strikers. Rashford does well as the lone striker, I'm not sure how Weghorst is going to compliment that. Yes it's better to have an additional striker than nothing when you need one, but Weghorst is a very leftfield choice.
Exactly and people are judging him on a short spell in an awful Burnley side. In Germany he was class ... I think he'll get plenty at Man united and he's costing nowt
I'm just trying to think positively by looking at how crap he was for Burnley as opposed to his decent scoring record in Germany. Man U are on a roll and I hope this imbalances them.
A agree they needed another striker and he's another striker, but that's about it. I don't really see him a savvy deal or the answer to what they were missing, more of a panic purchase. But there have been worse strikers bought on a whim, us bringing in Shefki Kuqi to replace Carroll for example.
Exactly you're agreeing with my original comment and then presenting separate areas of debate. Name a striker they've got that does what he can ?
The answer to what he "does" it open for debate though. The only obvious difference he has from their existing strikers is height, and they aint a set piece team, so I'm not sure this is going to open up a new dimension for them. Also I don't really see him getting in ahead of Rashford, Martial and Antony.
You might as well get booked into the hotel n all mate. There's 8 off this forum with confirmed bookings and 2/3 season tickets between the lot
Ha, i probably won't get a ticket, if ST holders go before members which will prob be the case. If we beat Southampton obvs.
Arsenal charged with failing to control their players v Oxford now, those ****ers need to settle down. Rattled.
