I reckon we should go for Joao Cancelo in the summer transfer window. Out of favour at city due to formation change, can play rb or lb and is a solid player.
Rodgers was asked if Maddison will be available against the Magpies, Rodgers said: “I don’t think so. It’s just day-by-day with James. Listen, we may go in tomorrow and it may be different but we’ll see.” He's not injured.
Chelski now spent £315m this season alone (in 7 months) and are only recouping £50m through player sales thus far. What happens if they miss out on CL this year? They are in a world of pain financially surely? They were already spending £170m a year on wages but must be close to £200m now after their transfers this window - that's a £450m outlay for the season! nearly HALF A BILLION spend this season alone on player transfer and wages (let alone agents fee's etc) plus additional costs of running a club! If they finish 5th they make £35m and made £155m last year off tv rights so just shy of £200m + their commercial income - must be around £150m but still eaves them hemorrhaging £100m+ this season before you take into account any other kind of expenditure. Luckily for them Roman wiped their debt but can see them becoming the first team to fall foul over losing a sugar daddy in the not to distant future.
Jorginho on a free anyone? I’d have him, would allow Bruno to get further up the pitch. Don’t see it happening through, he’ll head back to Italy to finish his career
Aston Villa are willing to listen to offers for 29-year-old France defender Lucas Digne only a year after his move from Everton. (Football Insider) Another bullet dodged
This 15 million isn't huge money and he's been excellent and played a huge part keeping the club up . One of the solid foundations to build on.
Apparently Tottenham are not extending Lucas Moura's contract at the end of the season. He's 30. On a free I think that could be a good short term solution as cover for Miggy if we want to spend our money elsewhere but still up the quality of our bench options. I always thought he was pretty decent and will work hard.
Doesn't look like nufc will do much if anyway at all, but I think they'll avoid players that are probably passed their prime
I’d rather get the right players in the summer then spunk big money on overpriced players in January, whatever happens between now and May won’t dampen the huge progress we’ve made in barely over a year
When things are going well It's not overly important but an injury to a key player would change my mind. If they're going to bother they have to be better than what's already here.
