Semi final of the league cup 76 second leg against Spurs We.were 1-0 down in the first leg But roared on by the biggest home crowd I had been in They say 52k but many more got in Under.the turnstiles and over the walls and fences I had been ill off school all week and managed to persuade my Mother to let me go The scramble for final tickets and travel was also manic I queued over 4 hours at the Bridge Hotel (by the high level bridge) to get a travel ticket on the supporters buses
I remember the 76 cup run (wasn't at the semi final, too young), I listened to it on the radio, I think we won 3-1 in the second leg.
Should be a cracker this, really looking forward it. Expecting two close matches and going to try and attend both. Definitely not going to be as easy as your last league game down here and if we can get something to bring up to you then I'd fancy our chances of frustrating you. May the best team win, and hopefully whoever that is wins the final too
Thinking about going to St Mary's. Been last two season in the league, won 2-1 then 4-1. I feel I owe it to the club.
Don't be confusing these Newcastle fans with pictures of cup finals. Most of them don't know what they are
Manchester City will want to hammer (again) their neighbours on Saturday. Will Citeh score six....again?
Hopefully we need man uniteds to lose their new confidence .. they're getting going there ... note the protests have gone ..crowd more behind the side
That's why we want Citeh to crush them again...would be good to hear them whining again. Mind, Manc Utd fans aren't as bad as the horrible Scousers.
I was hanging on the wall at the back of the Gallowgate. Brilliant night, one of the best. Only got 1 ticket for the final so my dad travelled down with me and waited outside listening to it on the radio.
