I mean, he's not wrong. The Havant manager knows **** all about whether Jones is good enough. And Saints fans have been way too quick to judge him and call for the sack. Yes I think he should probably be a little more diplomatic and that media training could help - but he is right to feel how he does.
Oh dear What a cock. Be magnanimous to the fans. You have a win, celebrate it with them. I am concerned about his sensitivity. He should be just great win, this is how my teams play football
If his agenda is “Have some of that, you disrespectful bastards” to the fans who wrote him off after a handful of games, I say fair enough mate tbh
Agreed but we're going in the right direction, Forest match aside, and I understand his reasoning with Lyanco. Saturday will be very interesting.
That’s the point. He was great tonight. That doesn’t make him great. Needs to happen way more, just as it does with NJ.
Bollocks to that, the man’s only been here 5 minutes and he’s been been written off, booed by the fans, called out and slagged off by people who never gave him a ****ing chance; good luck to him if he doesn’t hide his feelings after a win like that.
I think Jones deserves to be cut some slack on what he says to the media after that performance tonight. I think he has a right to be a bit pissed that a non-league manager said on local radio that he didn't think he was good enough. If he can carry on getting performances like that out of the players quite frankly he can say what he likes!
Disagree. Great result tonight,. so be the better man and show some class. He has had a thought gig yes, but sometimes just let the results do the talking. Far better than way, IF you want to win over everyone
I was thinking maybe his approach is 100% positivity, say nothing negative? Given how morale must have been recently, it doesn’t sound like a bad approach.
So much nicer watching the team with clear plans and tactics. Every player looked energised and knew exactly what their individual jobs were tonight. Fair play to NJ and the players. Also can’t blame him for having a dig back, hopefully we’ll continue playing with a plan and he doesn’t try to over complicate things going forward, and the negative interviews will be a thing of the past. If we play with this passion and energy I for one will gladly hold my hands up for criticising NJ probably and hopefully, to early
I was quite pleased with his post-match interview, to be honest. Passionate and you could see his adrenaline. You can’t blame him for being a bit spiky about the fans, and maybe he’s been using all the criticism as fuel to improve. Can’t always be that way though, and I do think he’s vented enough now. It’s time for him to take a ‘together as one’ approach.
Haha thanks. I think. I was 8 when I went, still look back at the Branfoot days with nostalgia as I wasn’t old enough to see how crap they were. Although we did have le tiss and some great players.
