I couldn’t see us beating City in a million years.

On another note, I didn't want to say this before (mainly because I know it sounds stupid and I didn't want to jinx it) but I've had a gut feeling we'd win this for days.

Today the first anniversary of my friend's suicide and I just knew the football gods would give something to lift my spirits.

Scant consolation in reality but a nice distraction and what an evening.

We do have the pressure of our league position albeit with renewed belief.

Think we needed Forest really and then the final is all or nothing anyway. But beating Newcastle over two legs is unlikely as lame and negative as it is to say that after the high of tonight’s win. They’ve been very consistently good for a long while now and don’t lose many.

Going for a lie down now. Then I wake up and it was all a dream. Oh no it wasn’t.

    24th/25th Jan - EFL Cup
    28th/29th Jan - FA Cup
    31st Jan/1st Feb - EFL Cup.

I suspect a weakened side against Blackpool!

    Oh dear!
Agree with everything else he's said though. Tonight has made me think Jones can hack it after all...

Let’s see. Swallows and summers, but it’s a big feather in his cap.

    Try optimism. It's great.

Yes, you're all happy now. So am I, but in addition I've been happy throughout the run up to this game because, as always, I expected us to win.

    Honestly, it's win-win.

Can’t believe that City had 72% possession, according to the BBC website.
    Really?

I was noticing after the result, he didn't have loads of players celebrating with him except JWP.

He doesn't hold back in interviews and just say what fans want to hear. It scares me a little, and will piss fans off if we aren't winning, but I kind of like it haha
