Jones with the players after clearly has a great relationship with them. Huge win for Saints and indeed Jones. Massive game against Everton now, at least we can go there with full belief now.
Its taken a while, but we have a midfield and we're not afraid to use it! Awesome all round. Nathan needed that for sure. Fingers crossed it wasn't a fluke and we can love football again
Amazing result, can’t comment on the performance but sounds a big improvement from what you’re all saying. Have to back it up on the weekend though!
Anyone care to explain that to me? A few paragraphs will do. I once played for a crap football team who played top of the table 100% 8 wins out of 8 and beat them 4-2, so I guess it's a bit like that
I am still in shock to be honest. My phone has lit up like a Xmas tree with fellow humans also in as much shock.
**** me, I must be dreaming. What the hell did I just watch, phenomenonal. I have been a huge critic of Jones, but he certainly got a performance tonight I did not think he could get. Repeat it Saturday and a large number of us will have egg on our face ( or maybe back to told you so). Well done Nathan. I was genuinely shocked to ight in a good way
Well, that was as good a performance as I've seen for 2 years. Credit to Jones, used the players at his disposal very well. Very smart putting KWP on the left again and got the players working their socks off, defending from the front but with clear instruction. Faith in certain players been repaid in full. Everything that's been missing for months was back today. JWP standout simply for having been so dire recently. @Archers Road Lyanco Motm
If you’re Everton - dumped out of the FA Cup and no midweek game - you’re probably thinking you could’ve done without Southampton winning twice in four days before they come to play you.
My Geordie neighbour wants us in the semi. Mind you he has an early start tomorrow and said he was off to bed at half time, so will probably wake up expecting City to have won.
