    Rossi?

No chance - we play far too many long-balls to suit his game.

He's tiny! I remember when we had him on loan back in 2006 - a decent finisher but would never replace our target man.

He could play off a target man but could never really be one.

Not that he would ever come like.

He would go to a team like Inter Milan

I honestly don't think Ba is strong enough to play as a target man - he's tall and difficult to win headers against but he's nowhere near as strong as Best. He certainly doesn't have a big enough physique in my humble opinon. He often get's out-powered by CB's.

True, but I think in the long term we would want to play more of the passing game rather than the long ball stuff.

    Hope so anyway

The spain left back is Jordi Alba of Valencia. That game was his first cap for spain. I assume he's going to get many more, he looks a real talent.

That would be very funny. I'm not as bitter towards Enrique as Carroll but him leaving to further his international career just as a slightly better and (I'm guessing) younger left back arrives is just priceless <laugh>

This is actually class, the guy above him is even called "Jordi" (assuming it's pronounced the same as geordie).

Its a crime that Jose hasn't got a call up, Alba is class but Jose is still better. Mandy isn't good enough for England at the minute, despite the competition being ****e.

Jose should be in, class act and been very good for Liverpool. Carroll needs a run of games and some form. Likes of Sturridge have moved ahead of him. Both made good career moves, Liverpool will finish above us and get in Europe. I hope I'm wrong because we will have had a top season if we finish above them. Haven't seen this Alba much, an option for us or is he set for a top club/happy at Valencia? Excited to see the likes of Rodwell, Agbonlahor and Sturridge.

Liverpool will finish above us but there is no way they'll qualify for Europe. They have a great squad, but their system of Suarez and Carroll just doesn't seem to work for them. The way we used Carroll at Newcastle got the best out of him, but Kenny has the headache of he either builds the attack around Suarez or Carroll and at the minute it's got to be Suarez

From what I've seen of them they need to educate their centre backs to play football. As soon as he's on the pitch they started launching 60 yard balls to him. It doesn't suit them or more importantly him. He can do a job in this way but he is much better in footballing teams as shown with the 19's and 21's. We did launch at him a bit but we also had clever players like Barton who'd get it into to his chest and feet. The only time he wants it aerial is to get on the end of crosses. I think they'll get Europe one way or the other. They'll be one of top 6 and a big gun will win the domestic cups. I can see Carroll sitting out a bit. But he'll come into his own through the winter and as the season rolls on. He's a big unit and those types improve as they get longer into the season, and handle tough conditions better (cold, wind, rain). I think this why Kenny has held him back, and of course because he is taking time to settle.

Yeah from what I've seen they seem to want him to remain in the box as a poacher while Suarez does all the running, but we got the best out of him by letting him drop deep when he wants to and essentially doing the job that Suarez is doing
