They are being checked INSIDE the EU. They're just not bothered if they are being exported to us. And why should they, our status to them s the same as Somalia or Guatamala. The problem is that when we left we ceased to be protected from sub standard produce. Add to that our government won't do it either because the bottleneck would be horrendous. They are just waving all the crap through.

 

For what exactly?

If it's for the point of entry aspect, I've already shown where you are wrong.
If it's for who enforces it, I've already shown where you are wrong.

So some horrible Froggy Butchers sells a container of bad meat to a restaurant in England, the business owner sends an email to the dodgy butcher that he won't receive payment, further contracts will be terminated and French trading standards will be informed so expect a visit.

 

We are not talking about French butchers sellng to restaurants. We are more likely talking about Central or Eastern European meat processors selling on bulk to the food manufacturers who produce ready meals for supermarkets,
