Persistent links to wingers despite already signing one and having Edozie. Shows how weak we consider ourselves in that position and points to a move to 4-3-3 (and not using 5 at the back unless it is a 5-4-1 but we’d really struggle in CM there)

I guess we really don’t want to have to rely on Armstrong or Walcott as a wing option?

I would be amazed (and disappointed) if we don’t sign a striker this window.

Exactly, how many crosses, free kicks, corners etc do we actually score from? It’s ok bringing in wingers but who are they going to pass/cross to? We MUST bring in at least one striker

How many teams in the bottom half of the table have a good, reliable striker? Great deal of demand, distinct paucity of supply.

There aren't many good reliable ones in world football. Wolves, Everton, and West Ham all have top strikers but they ain't scoring goals. The need is to find the right team chemistry, the right system and the right manager to get confidence up and football flowing freely and thats tough eg chelsea but it can be done eg Brentford and Fulham.

In fact, I'd take Strikers from wolves, Everton, West Ham, Villa, Leeds, Leciester and Palace in a heartbeat.

Theres no way we don't sign a striker! That was one of major failures of the summer window and we have struggled to score since, the club know that.

Was about to say the same, rare as rocking horse manure perhaps there's one grazing on the sunlit uplands.

Who do Wolverhampton have? Jiminez and Costa are very much in decline.

Kieffer Moore would be a good signing under current style

It’s not just the strugglers who are desperate for a striker, Chelsea are in the same boat and The Scousers are struggling to replace the goals Mane scored
The lack of goal scorers is probably why the EPL is so poor this season

If we can get a decent fee then may as well let him go. Hopefully Tino is the same player he was before his injury.

As long as we have money to spend (which it seems we do) I don’t see any reason to sell him now. Is one of the only players who has consistently looked like being a PL player we have

In the summer, yes. No way can we afford to let him go this month IMO.

Not in January though! He'll still have 2 years left in the summer? So if he wants to go and there is interest sell him then.

Oh, 100%. I didnt even consider that as an option! It would be ridiculous to sell him now

Can’t really blame him. He’s by far our best player. I’d be annoyed surrounded by these cloggers too.

If there were supposedly two players already in Southampton a few days ago, and Alcaraz was due in yesterday...do you think we are waiting to announce new signings until tomorrow to distract from the thrashing we are likely to take tonight?

The other one was for the womens team - they signed a new keeper yesterday.

Oh. Okay. So one mystery player that hasn't appeared after a few days in Southampton + Alcaraz.
