BBC even teasing the geordies. Their page, just after full time, literally said they won the league cup in 75/76!! Then amended the text to say they lost it. All the youngsters would’ve been cumming in their pants to tell us SAFC fans they’d won a cup more recently than us!!, (mind, if they’re counting the Fairs cup, I’m counting the freight river pizza Leland daf thing)
