It sounds mad given his record for us but shouldn't a current international like Dykes be worth more than 2m? Also its Mick Beale and Rangers, I'd make em' pay through the roof.
Some talk of us being in for a young Liverpool … … … midfielder (Leighton Clarkson, 21 y/o). Currently with Aberdeen and due to be called back for Championship experience (presumably as a step up from the Scottish prem ).
Relatively credible journalists with five-figure Twitter followers suggesting Jamal Lowe is on the way.
Privacy QPR looking to finalise Lowe deal By David McIntyre 11/01/2023 Embed from Getty Images QPR are looking to complete a deal to sign Jamal Lowe on loan from Bournemouth in the next 24 hours. Boss Neil Critchley is keen to bring in a striker as soon as possible and Lowe, 28, has been top of Rangers’ list of targets. Other clubs have shown a strong interest too but Rangers are trying to sign him in time for him to be available for Saturday’s game at Reading – and the player has indicated that he would like to move to Loftus Road. Lowe joined Bournemouth in August 2021 and has scored seven league goals for the south-coast club, with 27 of his 36 league appearances coming as a substitute. His career has also included spells at Swansea, Wigan, Portsmouth and Barnet. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamal_Lowe Record here suggests he scores about 1 in every 4 games, so hope he contributed in other ways. Bournemouth paid £1.5 million for him, so they must have seen something of value in his game. At 28, he's a lot younger than others we've signed over the last few years so I'll be cheering him on, and hoping he finds the back of the net more regularly for us!
I gather Lowe plays more as a right sided attacking player than as a striker. Like Dykes used to play in Scotland.
Jamal Lowe has scored in his last three games at Reading. No wonder they tried to sign him in time for Saturday.
So we now have Richards, Lowe and Roberts as what no.10s? We have 2 of them already in Chair and Willock.
Does this mean one of our loanees has to go back to their parent club due to numbers allowed? Hopefully Richards or Roberts
Believe we have 5 now but happy to be corrected. I would take Richards in front of Roberts all day long. At least on Saturday he tried getting the team forward with powerful runs just unfortunately a very left footed player on the right wing cut in a bit too much. Roberts spent his 20mins standing still demanding the ball having a go at players for not passing to him at then falling over when he did get the ball. I thought he would be a very good loan but actually it's horrendous, he clearly doesn't want to be there and clearly thinks he is better than the rest of the team. He needs to be sent back up to Leeds even if we still have to pay part of his wage
Would rather keep Richards. At least he puts effort in. Roberts looks about as interested in being at Qpr as a blind, castrated gay man in the middle of a Hooters bar
Not sure about the comparisons but totally agree with the principle of your statement , been an absolute joke, I gave him every opportunity based on living in Leeds but he has turned into someone who should be nowhere near the Hoops top. Maybe Bob will still have something different to say though?!
I didn't know ( until now ) that Jamal Lowe was in QPR's academy team but couldn't get a breakthrough because Raheem Stirling played in the same position. please log in to view this image
Just watched the official interview. Comes across as genuine and wanting to do well, I get a warm feeling about him and hopefully he will have a great half season for us and bang in a few goals. He seems motivated and if that transfers to the pitch, then we may have attracted an R's favourite. Let's hope so and wish him well during his spell with us. U R'sssss.
Can't defend the indefensible mate! What worries me more than having a loan player playing ****, is having players we own playing ****.
