    Get it watched mate

Well ahead of its time and funny as ****, but some serious topics addressed. Garner was once st a pro-celeb golf thing and going through a tricky time with his wife. He as on the tee and a trportrr asked him what was going on. He dropped him on the spot. Korean war hero too.

Reacher is only 36 in the first book (i'm re-reading it right now).

the new guy is a far better fit for the role than a 50 something, pint-sized Tom Cruise you'd have to admit!

oh absolutely but the issue for me is the 36 year old reacher in first books needs to look like an army major with experience. not a 20 something beefcake.

Hollywood has the issue that it always casts 29-30 year old to play teenagers so it's hard to actually make someone look their age.

I just think he doesn't hit the mark but obviously is far better than Tom cruise.

now, was the first reacher movie bad? I don't think so, it was reasonable but he looked ridiculous and especially when they had 4 or 5 lads round him for a fight.

I liked the series so it's one of those things that is very hard to hit the thing. the author created this character and has described them for years so the image in mind is very much clear and hard to hit.

Yes the film itself is fine, it's just not Reacher!

I refuse to watch anything with Tom Cruise in. Church of Scientology does so much harm to so many people.

I think Scientology is worse because the whole thing was just started as a money making scheme, it was never about religion in the first place. They prey mostly on poor people too and tell them they have to spend so much money to advance to the next level of enlightenment and people have literally lost everything they had paying the church. Then if someone leaves the church the other members are told to shun them, etc... Whole thing is just an exercise in nastiness.

I hate that actors like Cruise and Travolta give it some air of authenticity by using their fame to promote it.

Been watching Mr. In-between. Aussie comedy about a criminal-for-hire with a young daughter. For me it's on Hulu so probably on Disney in UK. Humour is dark and dry.

First few episodes were not good, only kept watching because didn't feel like looking for something else to watch. (Usually only watch TV in bed at night). It does get a lot better though, and glad I didn't give up after first episode. Really needs to be longer though. It's only 30mins an episode, and some of the episodes just seem to end at weird spots as if they ran out of time. Good show though (once you get past first few episodes)

    Paul Newman the same.

Well almost - a Hollywood great, top bloke and married to his second wife (a Hollywood actress) for 50 years until he died.

Rockford Files = Sunday afternoons with mum and dad back in the day.
