i mentioned Gyokeres the day after he tore us a new one 2 years ago.
I also mentioned Assal from AFCW.
I am no scout but i know a good footballer when i see one, unlike our scouts.
How about Dobra from Chesterfield? at least these guys are confident and are on the way up (not down).

We should be targetting hungry young players looking to make a step up, goalscorers who want to prove themselves not old duffers looking for a bit of extra cash at the end of their shelf lives

He was sat on the bench until the 81st minute. I watched him warming up with Richards and Roberts and look absolutely crest fallen when NwtfC called back Richards and Roberts and left him running up and down in the pissing down rain. He had a right moan at Paal when he came to warm up with him, he looked and rightly so, really pissed off with the treatment he is being served by successive managers

Sutfol I am with you. We don't need or want losers or those who find losing funny. I am sure as he'll don't. 5 a side, tiddliwinks whatever we weren't put on this earth to accept defeat so readily. We are not far away from a decent team. Change of mentality and a couple of additions, that's a!l.

The Oxford sub striker O'Donkor looked half decent tonight. Tall, strong, tricky and only 18.

Shame we don't try some 18-year olds trying to make their name in the game. We've already got Deon Woodman who looks a promising prospect a centre back who plied his trade initially as a striker. There doesn't seem to be a joined-up view of players and identifying decent prospects.

Sky sports saying we’re interested in Jamal Lowe the Bournemouth striker on permanent and we’ve recalled Charlie Owens from loan

I checked on them the other day, 2 have been injured and only just returned to training, 2 of them were bought and now play in different leagues, and 1 has been mainly used as a sub this season scoring 4 times from the bench and wants a move away. Of the others Sam Nombe of Exeter is currently riding high with 11 goals and 6 assists from 25 appearances and Jean-Phillipe Krasso has 8 goals and 4 assists from 14 appearances for Saint Etienne in Ligue 2 ! So at least 2 doing really well. We could've got him for around 200, 000 pre season !

He's more of a goalscorer than what Dykes is, hasn't had hardly any game time this season though, and quite a few clubs are looking at trying to get him in, so don't hold your breathe !

And there lays the problem, there will be plenty of more attractive offers than we can possibly muster.

My grannie would be more of a goalscorer than Dykes and she died in 1984...

That's true, but the real problem lies in not addressing the problem in the Summer ! We should've been looking at this for ages and we should've identified and bought a striker, not getting in a ****ter like Roberts on loan. The merry-go-round of loanee strikers has been going on for too long now, and apart from Dykes that's all we've had for a long time. Identify your striker, buy him, hopefully improve him and then sell him on for a huge profit. That's what we are meant to be doing according to Les, but where is the proof of all this big talk ? You won't achieve that goal by constantly bringing in loanee strikers. We want to emulate how Brentford have done their business, but I see nothing resembling that at Loftus Road. They had numerous strikers they bought then sold for profit, they they kept replacing those strikers with ones that were even better, right up to selling Watkins and replacing him with Toney. It's all bollox talk from Les and he hasn't addressed the situation at all. Nothing changes !
